Honestly OMG amazing.I am going to say that the taste is very traditional and authentic. It’s like being back home in Trinidad. The food was delicious and fresh. The Atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting with an open concept. The staff and the gentleman behind the bar, I guess the owner of the restaurant was amazing and professional. You would be crazy to pass up the opportunity to enjoy real
Traditional island, food. This was my first time visiting this place and I plan on visiting it again with my friends and family.

But don’t take my word. You have to try this place out.

I came in here for a work lunch. The parking is street parking and was simple and inexpensive. The owners Rick and Karen took great care of my friend and me. They knew everything that was in their food, so my food allergies were taken care of. They're wonderful people. My colleague and I had the goat curry, fried plantains, ox tail, and the jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was the best, but the goat curry wasn't too far behind.

I'm looking forward to coming back here. The ox tail and fried plantains were good as well. Lots of delicious foods. The service was great, too. I'm already looking forward to coming back here with friends.

This place is amazing!!! The food is absolutely delicious, the people are very friendly, and atmosphere is warm and inviting. TVs on the walls for sports.

I spent 20 plus years in the restaurant business in Los Angeles, now my lady and I are long haul truck drivers and get to experience culture all across the nation. "The Real Deal" has to be one of the most heartwarming, authentic and delicious places we have had the honor of eating at. I and my wife couldn't be more thankful that we got to experience the family that runs this place before they are nationally famous and we can not get in the door. Delicious food, and without a doubt far better hospitality.

I took my son to this restaurant for his birthday yesterday, he’s a meat eater and I’m vegan. He had a curry chicken dish that he ate with gusto! And I had a beautifully prepared dish of ackee ( no customary fish), greens, cabbage and rice and beans.
Presentation was pleasantly on point!! And the taste was savory and delectable. The person size was just right, I felt satisfied without it being too small Pretty or too overwhelming Chipotle style ( although that could be a two for one meal right there!)
It’s downtown after five no cost at the meter, they do have takeout and with a large space inside check out their functions when they happen.
Would highly recommend and asking for Karen one of the friendly owners❤👍🏾

Escovitch Fish, white rice with curry gray, and plantains. Delicious!!!!! The curry gravy is really good. Please let me know when you have Johnny cakes, fried bread fruit and boiled banana.

I absolutely love this place and the Owners. Not only is the food good but you're treated like family!

This restaurant is AMAZING!!!!!The staff is friendly as well as the environmental setting makes you feel at home.The food is to die for. If you want great food and a to just laundry back and great convo with the staff and a smile after a long day get yourself over to the Real Deal where you get nothing but realness

Astonishing! This food belongs in a 5* Hotel. Absolutely delicious. Very surprised and very FULL!!!!

A little pricey but absolutely 110% worth every penny. Drove an hour to check it out and definitely worth every mile. Definitely will be returning soon

I just bought food from here and the customer service, the respect and love for their customers was felt the moment I walked into the restaurant. I don’t normally order curry goat, but this time I got a little and my goodness!!!! The food was phenomenal! When you ask for meat, you get meat. They don’t overpower with gravy. Everything is done in decent proportion. All food is fresh. This is my first time there. I don’t normally write reviews this quickly but I can assure you they are worth going to. I’ll be back real soon.

Had a great visit with a friendly staff. Curry goat was very good and Rick let me sample his oxtails. Rick tales are great great pride in his restaurant. Portion size was very good and again food was very delicious. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Ordered the curry shrimp which came with a choice of two sides, (Mac and cheese and rice and peas). Everything was so good! I would definitely patronize this business again without hesitation!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I really enjoy the entire experience. The owners & their daughters are just wonderful, they always make sure everything is right & on point. I picked my food up just before closing, and had to drive all the way back to West Virginia smelling the food I purchased. The was food definitely worth the wait !!! Wife had the curry chicken,I had the oxtail. Both were great!! I think I'll try the curry chicken next time !! I recommend it for everyone who enjoys Jamaican cuisine!!!

Best Jamaican restaurant in Maryland. Every meal is prepared well the food is very tasty and seasoned to perfection. I live more than an hour away but it's definitely worth the drive. The establishment is very clean and presentable. The staff are courteous and respectful. I highly recommend if you are in the area.
