My 4 year old grandson started therapeutic riding with Elle when he was 3. She is amazing and the horses are perfect for the job. We drive 45 to here because she is so fantastic with him.

JoyRide has been a fantastic experience for our family. Both of our kids have had an excellent time learning about horses and working on the basics of riding. Elle and Tess have shown that they care a great deal about the riders and go the extra mile to make sure that everyone is having fun and is safe.

Mrs.Elle is very nice and funny and a great teacher, she always helps when you need it. She is an awesome person and always knows whats best! The horses are great and teach you how to be a better rider, I love the horses so much and they show you how to progress at your skills. The barn is nice and clean too and is well stocked and managed. So if you are looking for a barn, Joyride equestrian is #1!

Elle is a great instructor! Her background as a therapeutic riding instructor has helped my ADHD daughter learn a lot in a relatively short time. I would recommend that anyone interested in further developing their riding skills, or anyone interested in becoming a rider give Elle a try, you won’t regret it.

My experience with JoyRide has been nothing but amazing. Elle and Tess are both very knowledgeable and excellent instructors. They know their stuff! The stable is organized, the horses are very well-cared-for, and the general vibe is one where you can feel that everyone loves to be there, including the horses (and Wanda the cat).

We love JoyRide! It’s a beautiful location and we come away with a “zen” feeling (along with a few sore muscles for my daughter 😀). A few things we’ve loved- Elle teaches how to read the horse and about his personality so that they can work together while constantly giving positive feedback to horse and rider. My daughter is in high school , a fairly new rider and new to NC. It’s been a very positive environment, with consistent, clear communication and expectations.

JoyRide has been an absolutely amazing experience for my child. The instructors are not only knowledgeable, but have great instincts when it comes to children and their comfort level and skill. My child’s confidence has soared since she began lessons at JoyRide. It truly feels like being with family to be at this barn!

I was looking for an activity for my daughter that would help her build her coordination, confidence, focus, and get her outside. I didn’t want dance class for reasons of my own, and horseback riding seemed like a good fit, IF we could find the right barn program. I was prepared to have to try a few. We were so fortunate to find Elle and JoyRide right off the bat. This is the perfect program to teach my daughter skills in a low pressure environment focused on development.

The energy and environment at Joyride is fantastic. It is truly a community and everyone is truly involved in learning and growing in their group. The facilities are clean, well managed and you can tell thought goes into their farm and their programs.

Elle is a fantastically calm and knowledgeable trainer who helps create a balanced relationship between horse and rider (whether owner or lesson-taker). I am looking forward to arranging to trailer my baby over for a training session with her!

Serene setting and calm and happy horses make a perfect fit for our family. Elle's method of instruction is kind and well-informed, she is consistent and grounded in her practice. Highly recommended for all.

Elle gets both rider and horse. She is patient, compassionate, and knowledgable. I would absolutely recommend her for beginners or intermediate riders but also for more advanced riders who want greater insight into "hiccups" in their riding.

Elle is a wonderful instructor. My aides are softer, quieter...my horse moves out straighter, stronger and softer...We are a better team --- I might just have that western dressage pony one day soon!!!

Elle is a wonderful, attentive, and experienced instructor. Serene location and atmosphere. Owner places an emphasis on proper horse nutrition and care.

My former horse is part of their lesson program, and these guys take excellent care of their animals. The staff are very knowledgeable.

Elle is talented, patient and kind. She emphasizes safety and happiness for both horse and rider. Highly recommend!!!

What a wonderful place! We feel so lucky to ride here-the instructors make sure both the riders and the horses have a good experience.
