I love this place! We started taking our daughter there for guitar lessons recently. The only complaint that I have, which isn't that big of a deal, is that they have a small selection for bass guitar strings & books. The staff is super friendly & helpful, and the place has a really cool vibe!!

Great for lessons, rentals of instruments available. Any purchased through the shop can have the warranty added to it. I HIGHLY recommend the warranty.

I have been taking cello lessons with Ralph and it is easily the highlight of my entire week. This store is the very best music and arts I've ever been to. The staff in the front are knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. I was afraid I would be judged for being an adult beginner, but I've had nothing but positive interactions. I highly recommend coming here.

Brad has provided me with the best shopping experience ever. He is the BEST! I can't remember last time I talked to someone that passionate about music, that kind and that knowledgeable. The store members were very nice. I bought an acoustic guitar and it had an issue with the frets. They fixed it before I bought the guitar.

The two people who assisted me here were super kind and helpful, including the manager! Maria was also very considerate over email! I visited around 6pm on a Monday and it wasn't overly busy either.

The team at this location is AMAZING! Initially came in to buy miscellaneous music supplies for my kids who are in Middle School Band and was extremely impressed with how personable and knowledgeable the staff was. Over the next several months, Frank, Brad and Carolina have become like family! They’ve given us excellent advice when purchasing a trombone, drum set and a bass guitar. I’m even taking bass guitar lessons there from Jerry...a master-musician! I can’t speak highly enough of the crew at this location. I HIGHLY recommend Music and Arts McKinney for all of your musical needs!

Carolina and her team are super friendly and very helpful! 100% satisfied with their service and our teacher/tutor for violin is AMAZING. Xaris is patient, kind and funny. She makes it easy for our girls to listen and learn. ☺ Thanks to everyone for all they do!

The employees were friendly and professional. They knew what they were talking about and did their jobs very well. I've been in for repairs on my violin, new strings for my violin and changing strings on my guitar and they've done great work every time.

Walked in, not expecting much honestly. WOW WAS I WRONG. At first glance, it doesn’t look like much, but then I talked to Brad, cool dude that works there, and he was VERY specific about what I need to look for in a guitar. He obviously knew his stuff, and it made me feel so confident and comfortable in the store. I walked out with a lovely $400 guitar, knowing that I made the right choice in my guitar. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for their musical needs and wants. Don’t go anywhere else, GO HERE. It. Freaking. Rocks. X)

This is the best store. Although another location is closer, I travel to this store for the friendly staff and excellent management. My daughter had an insurance claim with her damaged flute and the store made the process so easy. Highly recommend this store for instrument rentals or purchases.

The team is so kind and helpful. They answered all my questions and actually helped me tune my ukulele that I had gotten from somewhere else! They have a ton of different music related items other than instruments. Definitely recommend this place :)

Brad educated me about a bunch of things I wouldn't have known otherwise and was super helpful. The store had a great selection and a lot of good deals, very passionate employees! Will be back!

Totally recommend this place for those looking to get into total beginnings of acoustic guitar adventures. I had the please of working with Brad (the guitar geek as he called himself ;) ) and he showed me that definite 'DOs' of getting your first guitar and what to look for. I had a Ibanez IJV50 handed to me and I tried picking it up and playing and decided to take it to them to check out to see if there was any adjustments that could/should be made but it had 3 major strikes against it that Brad so politely pointed out to me that made total sense.
1. Neck spacing to strings was like the grand canyon.
2. the finished shiny back of the neck didn't allow for ease of sliding of thumb and
3. but definitely not last, the guitar was a bit large for me to handle and didn't have a indent to allow access to the higher frets on the neck close to the body.
After setting me up with a Laurel Canyon (yes it's still a beginners guitar as I don't have the $$$$$ to spend on a high end guitar), i have to say that the strings are closer to the fretboard and is easier to hold down. The size of the guitar (LA-100) fit me much better than the Ibanez and the back of the fretboard feels tons better. But I must say, Brad worked really hard on finding me a Laurel Canyon LA-100 that an extreme minimal set of flaws in the guitar that would/should last me a long time through proper maintenance. I also had the strings replaced with coated strings per his suggestion to ease the process of gaining callous on my fingers for what is needed. Thank you guys for help, information and direction on what to look for and setting me up with one that I can enjoy learning on without breaking the bank.
