Golden City Restaurant

This is one of my favorite places. The portions are amazing especially for the meager prices you pay. You can get some good authentic Chinese food here but also the American versions. Aka deep fried and sauce. My favorite thing is the drive-thru. She's always on time with your order and she checks you out quickly so there's no waiting in line. Easy and easy out lots of food for cheap. Yes please.

Do not let the exterior fool you. This is some of the best Chinese Food I have had in the area! I'm not going to lie; the exterior is rough at best. But that in no way translates to the food you receive!

I ordered the General Tsao's chicken lunch special. It was $4.50. I paid a small up charge to add chicken to my fried rice, and a dollar to purchase an egg roll. The lunch also comes with soup of your choice, which was Egg Drop for me.

The amount of food I received for just over six dollars was ridiculous. It was enough to feed at least two people for lunch. The chicken was delicious and the breading had a good flavor. The rice had peas, carrots, and huge chucks of chicken mixed in, the egg drop soup was very good, and the huge bag of crisps to put in the soup was just right. Nothing bad to say about the food at all.

The woman who took my order and gave me my food was very nice and even cracked a few jokes toward herself when she realized she forgot to give me a spoon for my soup.

All in all, it was a great experience and a great lunch. I will definitely be going back to Golden City in the future!

The sweet & sour chicken is delicious. My only "complaint" is that it doesn't come with things like pineapple, zucchini, etc. It's just the chicken, fried rice, & and sauce. All of which is great. I'd just like something more. The portion size is HUGE. We could easily make 4 meals from one combination order.

Tons of food for the price! Pretty good too. Outside looks sus, but food and value is on point. 4 days worth of food for $20. You don’t see that these days. Impressed

Excellent service and good. I went here tonight for the first time. Extremely friendly staff and a ton of food that was quite good for a very good price. All white meat chicken and good ingredients. If you haven't been here before I definitely recommend trying it.

Love this place... been going here for 20+ years. My favorite is Almond Boneless Chicken with chicken fried rice.

We have a couple Chinese restaurants in our city but we drive 20 minutes to get our food from here. It is hands down the BEST Chinese food we've tasted. For New Year Eve dinner our daughter requested sweet & sour chicken ONLY from here though. It was awesome again!! Everything we've ordered the past 10+ years have been delicious. I felt I needed to finally give a 5 star review for them. We will always support this small business!!!

I love this place, their food is always so fresh. We normally call and order take out, we go through the drive-through so I can't speak on the inside of the building. But lady is always so happy to see us.

Best Chinese food in the Flint area. The pork fried rice is so delicious and the honey garlic chicken rocks.

We tried Golden City for the first time recently and were SO impressed. This is our new favourite spot and we will absolutely be returning!! Food portions are good and everything tasted delicious.

I get my Chinese from here all the time and I have yet to be disappointed. Food is always great and they give you plenty of food. There is enough for two people to eat off from one order.

Absolutely delicious! I think that was the best honey garlic chicken I have ever had. Very nice lady, customer service is awesome. She hooked us up, so much chicken I ate for 2 days off that 1 large!

This is by far my favorite Chinese take out! I've never gotten bad food. Today I ordered the Mongolian beef and crab cheese. Yummy. I ordered the dinner size and it was enough for my dad and I plus I had enough left over for my lunch tomorrow.!

Some of the best! Prices are good, staff is amazing, food is delicious. I do not have 1 single complaint for this place. Plus when you're at the bar next door that doesn't sell food it's so easy to walk over and grab it!!

I got sweet and sour chicken, I got alot of the chicken alot more than I was expecting and it has me so full and I haven't even finished half. The rice was cooked perfectly. Best chinese I've. Ever gotten. Wasn't really a long wait too

Foods always hot and fresh! I've been hooked to this place since day 1! Really big portions and usually have another meal out of it. Great prices, you'll thank me later!

Love this place! Food is fantastic and portions are great! I only ever see the lady at the take-out window but she is so sweet and nice every time I come there. I will never go anywhere else!
