Red Kettle

We were there on a Wednesday and on Wednesdays most of the restaurants in Idyllwild close! 😂 luckily The Red Kettle was open! This is a nice place with lots of memorabilia all over, cool 😎! I had to try the Chicken Fried StK, my husband had the the Eggs 🍳 Benedict ! Great coffee ☕ also and excellent service. Love it. 😍

Sat on the outside patio with one of the hugest dogs I've ever seen. Omelet was good, potatoes were good. Orange juice was what I didn't know I needed. Wait staff were all awesome!
The avocado portion was generous & the butter on the sourdough toast was sooooo tasty!

You have to try their hollandaise sauce! Very dog friendly (small outdoor patio, but my 2 big dogs were welcomed) small bar has mimosas, and view of the street is nice. Popular place on weekends, be prepared to wait, party of 3 (1 person 2 dogs) on Sunday prime time I was seated in 10 mins.

We were here for breakfast and I have to say it's a great breakfast place with amazing straff and service. Portions are huge, and the food comes in super fast.
I tried my favorite, biscuits and gravy, and it's so good. But if you have something else as well, go with the half portion.
Orange juice is of good quality and you'll be served the juice in a large glass.
But once again, the staff and service⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The place was slammed & from the lovely lady greeting guests to every one of the servers, they were Champs. Great energy, fantastic service & great smiles. Their spirits created a at atmosphere that makes people want to return. Shout out to Bonnie & Shelby

Great breakfast spot. Super friendly and attentive staff. Portions are big. There is outdoor seating that is dog friendly (enter from side gate). Water bowls provided. Try the breakfast quesadilla. Only street parking, but its a small area, so park anywhere and walk over.

Wonderful breakfast 🍳 spot! Great portions. Delicious food and nice selection of your classic breakfast options. Fantastic service! Tamara was so sweet and attentive! We had a nice chat. She shared some fun stories about the town. Will definitely be back! 😋

Aug 6th from camping site to red kettle 12minutes walk distances.
Try go restaurant for to go.
Junkyard omelet inside meat and veggies wonderful. Very honest work for customers.
And French toast cinnamon flavored really delicious.
We will co.e back here definitely again.

While staying in Palm Desert , we enjoy going to The Red Kettle in Idyllwild Pine Cove ( in mountains) for either breakfast and/or lunch. Plenty of on street free parking. No limit on parking. Quaint little town. Terrific selection of food on the menu. The staff are fabulous and have worked there for years. Our server Kathy W was professional , courteous, personable, and knowledgeable. She assisted us in ordering lunch on Wednesday, June 5th. Service was terrific. Be aware that many stores are closed on Tuesdays. I ordered the Malibu Chicken Sandwich large and delicious. My wife ordered the Chicken Cross sandwich. Also delicious. Highly recommend. You can eat inside or on the small patio.

My husband and I came to look at property a Friend is selling in Pine Cove and decided to stop in for breakfast. I had the country fried steak and my husband had Rib-eye stake and eggs both very reasonably priced and so delicious. We shared the caramel nut roll warm it was rich but again very delicious. Bonnie and the other ladies were very attentive and nice. I send a great job to the cooks and over all staff. The place was clean and in order. We will be back I recommend this place to anyone visiting Idyllwild Ca

Just stopped by Red Kettle for lunch on our way to Palm Springs for my birthday. Not only the food was very good and fresh, the lady in the house was very sweet and made us feel warm and welcomed. She also surprised me with a fresh baked cupcake with a candle on top and sang happy birthday to me. She even addressed me by my name! I never felt such a heart-felt warm feeling from someone I have never met before who can go the extra mile to make my birthday so much more special! I really appreciate this whole experience at Red Kettle in Idyllwild!

Loved the food! They were pretty busy but still provided great service. The whole town is cute and paw friendly!!!!

Really nice place. One of the few restaurants that was open on a Monday for lunch. Four of us with a dog. We sat on the deck (left side of my really bad pic). Our waitress was fantastic. Really friendly and helpful.

I got the turkey melt. It was wonderful. My daughter got the grilled cheese. Others got the chicken fried steak. It was all great.

We’re in from out of town but if we’re ever here again (likely) we’ll definitely stop in again.

If you're an Eggs Benedict can like I am, GO HERE NOW! One of the best I've ever had. Recommend the hash browns over the country fries. Delicioso! 🤌🏻

This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly, helpful and just terrific from being to end. I highly recommend eating there. You won't be disappointed. I've eaten there several times and have not been disappointed. My children and grandchildren love it as well.

Oh my... delicious breakfast and wonderful service. Very friendly and all the locals go here. They even offered vegetarian sausage which was such a nice surprise. Homemade taste and crunchy hash browns! So good with mamosa 🥂

The food is good had the eggs Benedict the sauce was a little sour to my liking but other than that it was good. Also tried the French toast and they are really good. Good food portions and good customer service they have a big menu which is great.

I don't remember what we had, just that both dishes were delicious (something with tender but crisp home potatoes) and expect that next time we go back it'll be the same.

We went during the very beginning of the pandemic, and even though we had to order at the door and go eat in the car, they were very quick and courteous.

If you’re ever up at Idyllwild then it’s a must to stop in at the Red Kettle. WOW, it was simply amazing and all the staff were exceptional, such a team effort by all. It’s definitely a hopping place especially with the locals. Kathy our server was great.
