I happened to go today with no long line. So the experience was great. The clerk was very friendly and we actually got to chat. We didn't have to hurry.

This is the best Post Office in Meridian.

They falsely decided to withhold my package and now I can't reach anyone about getting it.

Update: Called for an hour straight with no answers. Three people present and not one apparently could answer the phone. When I went in person they had no idea where it was at first and were just like "make a complaint online I don't know". Finally postmaster came because the other people couldn't find it or reach the driver. Had to go back and forth about what package I was talking about. It was out back tucked away somewhere, but never actually gave me an explanation of what happened or why they "couldn't find it where it was supposed to be" the first time.

The only time I have a problem with this post office or their mail carrier is the Month of November. I will receive my check every 15 th and the end of the month from January to October. but the minute November comes in , she / he looses my paycheck. how can you get it right for 10 months but not the 11 th month. please make it make sense. Maybe they need people that can read . call but no answer.

Went yesterday morning to put mail in boxes outside 11:45 the middle one was so full u could just reach in and grab all u wanted.i don't no why it so hard for them to empty

I would Not even give these people a full one star if I could go lower I would. Poor customer service, unless you are a friend, relative, etc. I tried to reach them via phone for over an hour without success. After driving to the business,waiting 20 minutes in line to be seen due to the idle chit chat with customers, I was informed they would not release my package to me because they had not unpacked the palate that it had come on. The palate was delivered and accepted by them at 12:22 pm, and after talking to Fedex I was assured I could simply pick my package up at the Post office if I liked, that it would be available. I asked if she, the worker, could check to see if my package could be retrieved, and that I could provide my name, tracking number, etc. She rolled her eyes and stated that aint going to happen. She went on to say they were not goung to go look for it and I can just come back tomorrow after lunch .So in other words I do not want to help you is what she told me. They have the packages for 4 hours and cannot have them sorted at all? Four hours since they took posession of my package and it still not available .The problem here is lazy people are hired based on their gender and ethnicity rather than on their ability to be proficient at the job and its responsibilities. Frankly, this is unacceptable.

Staying at the threefoot hotel across the way. The flag flying on the pole in front of the post office is is tattered and torn. It is also an older flag. Post master, do the best you can for our nation and its flag, put it to rest and get another up flying!

The automated recording is a waste of time.... would be best to have a live person and get to the problem and forget the 500 questions the recording ask and you still get no where,,, I end up hanging up !!! Terrible service.

Our mail has been in the box for pick up with the flag raised since 8:00 am YESTERDAY. I saw no less than 4 carriers pass by yesterday and 2 today. Calling the number to discuss the inefficiency is useless. This agency should remove the word "service" from is title.

I've called for 3 days trying to find a package that has been sitting in Baton Rouge for 6 days...it's to be delivered to an address in Baton Rouge!! what is wrong with these ppl..do not answer phone calls nor deliver certified mail in a timely manor ! not worth the money we pay...

This is the 3rd time in a,row 3 packages were supposed to be here & they make it to my post office then get sent back to Jackson ms then they send theem back to me being 5 days,late . So why do i pay for priority shipping ??? This,postal system here is ads backwards & can't get anything rite except slowing down my work. Mississippi has,the wrost postage system in the entire country & noone answers the phones ever

This post post lobby started closing from 1800-0600 I’ve had the same box over 10 years!! so explain how the ones of us that work are supposed to get our mail. The US mail what a joke

Horrible customer service. No one answers the phone. I tried calling the 1800 number and it just hangs up on me while I’m on hold!!! All I want is my mail. I haven’t gotten my mail in a week and just moved here I did everything I needed to changed me and my husbands address. We need our mail!!!

Poor customer service, rarely answers the phone and when they do, they direct you to call USPS 1800 number. And they open entirely to late in the morning for business hours.
