JAF THE SUSHI HOUSE

In my opinion the best somewhat hidden gem on the West Bank. Sushi is top notch. Service is always good. Everyone there is awesome and upbeat. I go at least once a week. Good prices and fantastic food! Haven't tried the Ramen yet but if it is anything like everything else they make it's going to be amazing.

Jaf the Sushi House is located in a strip mall and doesn’t have any curb appeal. However we decided to give them a try after reading the reviews. We ordered the crab salad, Fancy Mama Roll, Bye Bye Katrina Roll, and Beef Udon. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Everything tasted fresh. The crab salad had just the right moisture and was tasty with cucumbers. The beef in the Beef Udon had a grilled taste and wasn’t fatty. The broth had a nice taste and noodles were cooked perfectly. The rolls were very fresh and the perfect size. We will be back!

It doesn't have the best "grab your attention" due to the location in the strip mall. Inside it seems a bit on the lower end. Plastic cups instead of some nice shiny glass, but don't be fooled because their food was 5 star. I got the sashimi plate, which wasn't what I expected. It exceeded my expectations.most places give you small, thinly scliced pieces. Inside their sushi rolls, you get a bigger piece of fish over a bigger piece of cream cheese, which is what I want! Here you get large solid pieces of fish. The quality taste amazing. I'll be back again before moving out of the area.

Had a great lunch at JAF sushi! A nice hole in the wall sushi restaurant tucked away on Barataria Blvd in Marrero. Had their special "Labor" roll and it was definitely a labor of love! Would definitely recommend!

So I messed up my dinner plans and looked at places to eat by me. JAF THE SUSHI HOUSE was around the corner and a long the lines of what I wanted to eat. The reviews were on point. I had Shrimp goyza and the Shoyu Ramen...

I recently ordered from here via Postmates. The food exceeded my expectations. The portions were generous and the flavor showed that the fish was extremely fresh. Their deluxe sushi dinner was fabulous and was extremely filling. The crab salad was moist, not dry like some places serve. I will definitely order from them again!

One of my favorite spots on the westbank! Amazing food, excellent customer service, friendly staff and very good prices. I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and my whole family has been ordering take out from here almost weekly for the last year. As long as the prices and the food are great then I think JAF will be around for a while!!

Yummy! I especially appreciate the size of the sushi rolls, they’re not too big and perfect mouth size. Flavor combos are good. Clear soup is delish. I have so much I want to try on the menu now!

New to the Westbank and have been trying out all of the sushi spots on this side of the river. I am very pleased to say that Jaf has been by far the best! My happy family roll and snow crab salad tasted quite fresh, as well as the spicy mayo. Will definitely be ordering again!

I'm so glad I decided to stop and try this sushi restaurant. I had the Kent salad, and a funky Margarita roll. I also had a Naruto roll that wasn't on the menu, but the waitress told me about it when I asked for no rice rolls. The chef even personalized it for me. The salad was delicious. The rolls were much bigger than I expected, so I had lots of leftover sushi the next day. Prices were good especially considering the size of the rolls. The restaurant is clean and bigger than you would expect from the location. Business was not unexpectedly slow because I went Friday mid-afternoon, but I'm sure they are struggling due to all the covid-19 restrictions. I plan to go back and I hope more people will too so that this wonderful little restaurant will survive.

Best sushi on the Westbank. So fresh. The dining room is clean it's just not a cozy spot. I dine in sometimes and do takeout sometimes the quality is always there.

There is a saying that pray, "don't criticize a book by its cover but by the content ". The restaurant is a clean and decent place with a large parking lot. Chef Anthony fixed our sushi orders close to the perfection with a fresh and delicious flavor. We're not from the West Bank, but we definitely will return to keep enjoying more delicious meals from the menu.

I went to JAF on Fathers Day weekend. They're a new spot so go by and check them out. We had the squid salad appetizer which was really good and a stuffed mushroom appetizer(stuffed with snow crab and then deep fried) that was amazing! The salmon and yellowtail sushi was fresh and the Burning Man roll was excellent! Very nice people,...prices are reasonable too

The sushi!! Nothing short of perfection. Great flavor. Tons of options. Definitely a sleeper tucked away in a little shopping center area. Fish was fresh and flavorful. Rolls were beautiful constructed. Will be back **had chocolate city roll, scallop roll and fancy mama roll, with miso soup and yellowtail nigiri

Been passing the place for longest time and me and the wife finally came through.
I had the ramen and the utah roll......let me tell yall something....the presentation plus the flavor was hella dope
Wife had the basics snow crab salad with a snow crab roll and a crunchy roll she said hers just as good
Over all the service was great our waitress was friendly and the food was great we will be coming back.

Very good crunchy rolls! They are all so kind and accommodating. I had a very big craving and was satisfied. Can’t wait for next time to try the sushi.
