Absolutely amazing service! Included breakfast is home-cooked meal! The hosts are very accommodating!
This was my best hotel experience ever!

The property is in excellent condition and very pleasant.

Ski trails and hiking trails to Pitchoff and Cascade mountains are accessible right of the property.

Beautiful, scenic, convenient location nestled in the high peaks area. Distant enough from Lake Placid to be restful but close enough to visit all the top sites in the area. The house is gorgeous, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hosts are lovely and helpful - with abundant knowledge of the area to recommend restaurants, sightseeing, and travel routes. Full breakfasts were delicious with a range of options. Property wi-fi allowed for remote teleworking. We will try to stay again!

We had a great stay here! We stayed for two nights; our room was nice and the lodge has a great common room with a fireplace that looks out on the mountains nearby. We had good breakfasts and there is excellent maple syrup made on-site. As for things to do, you couldn't ask for a better spot to stay for hiking; the lodge is right in the heart of the mountains and very close to some of the most popular trailheads. It's also ten minutes from Lake Placid proper, so town is right nearby. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be coming back here!

Yum, yum, yum! This place has Maple cotton candy and OMG is it delicious. But they're maple syrup is just as good. They also sell a few other goodies in there. Like maple sugar and more.

FYI this place is a self-serve.
When you pull in from the main road it is the second driveway on the left and once you're on that driveway it is the first building on the right.

Great place to stay in the Adirondacks. Accessible, spacious, friendly owners, and delicious breakfast. We had something new for breakfast each one of the four mornings we stayed there. Quick drive into Lake Placid. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room and it got quite hot!

I love stopping here whenever I visit the Adirondacks! The self-service South Meadow Sugarhouse is open dawn to dusk for you to purchase local maple syrup and jams & spreadable fruit. The products are delicious!

Wonderful maple syrup and related products. Its our family favorite, and we stop by every time we pass through Lake Placid. Follow the dirt road till you find it. Small glass jars make great gifts!

A fantastic place. Truly a gem in the Adirondacks. We were treated like family and did not want to leave. South Meadow puts anything you'd find on Air bnb to shame.

We just went to the self-service shop and they had a variety of products products including maple cream.

Best place to get maple products... self serve idea is AWESOME.... this place is open 24x7. You MUST visit here if you are visiting adirondacks/ Lake Placid! 🤩
