Wayback Burgers

It’s a 6 hour drive to Norfolk Beach from where I live in PA.

Been on the road for 2 and I got a bit hungry and needed to stretch my legs. Spotted a way a Wayback burger and a liquor store next to it, figured I’d grab some lunch and peruse the liquor selection (mixology is a hobby and I’m always looking for different things).

2 guys working the Wayback; a white dude and an Indian guy. Both professional, prompt, and efficient. Good service. Place is clean, well kept, and maintained.

I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, burger was great, and the onion rings were actually decent (once you’ve had good onion rings, you know what I mean).

I asked for light mayo and they actually did *light* mayo. Grease was as minimal as it could’ve been. It was perfect.

Double checked if I wanted ketchup packets for my rings when I took them to go.

Bonus - found a bottle of a new gin from the liquor store I’ll be trying, and a bottle of a favorite whiskey of mine.

Nice little place to stop on the way to Rehoboth. Love that they have a garden burger option AND the Impossible burger. Onion rings, fries, and tots are good. Burgers were great, the impossible melt was good with a tad kick of spice.
Love the option of sautéed onions and mushrooms. And the ranch sauce I really liked.

Sadly didn’t get a shake but I saw other customers drinking them and they looked good!

The man taking our order seemed a bit annoyed at us for no reason (that I was aware of) but the two other workers were incredibly kind and helpful!

It’s a small space but it fit all of us and a few others so no complaints about it being a simple space.

First time was great. Juicy patty nice bun loved the Chipotle mayo.. fries crispy and fresh

Perfect stop when you want something other than the typical fast food but a burger would still hit the spot. The staff was friendly and helpful and patient with my kids who took their time deciding and spilled their drinks within five minutes of getting in. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed very tasty burgers with hearty salads and great tator tots. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The eat-in space was very clean. Prices were great for the quality of the food. We will be back!

Was on my way back from a day trip to the beach and saw this burger joint I had never tried so I pulled over. And I do not regret it. I got a cheeessy burger and it was delicious. Burger was cooked perfectly. With all the fixings were fresh. The next time I see a Wayback Burger I will be stopping again.

Very good burgers! We got the impossible burgers and they are very good! We also ordered onion rings and they were delicious! The people making the food were also very kind and tended to us well.

Was super excited when I heard my favorite burger place was opening close to us. Been here twice. Employees super nice . Food is delicious! We got the cheeseburger, chili cheese dog, onion rings and fries. Milkshakes are good, too! I will definitely be a repeat customer! Please keep this place open! Food was very good! We had the bourbon burger and cheese steak. Both were very good. The restaurant is clean and the workers are very friendly. We will be going there more frequently.

Love the service and the workers here. Always cook the best burgers and food in greenwood. Get er done guys! 🫡🤙🏻👍🏻 highly recommend.

Excellent burgers & food!!! Josh & the other workers there were fantastic! We ate with our kids and another family and we were definitely extra! Lol The staff there couldn’t have been more hospitable. Wayback is quickly going to become a family favorite!!!

What a great place in Greenwood Delaware a great addition to Greenwood from the time you walk in very clean and friendly staff and the food was amazing see Nick and get you a cheesesteak and fries oh and might as well get a milkshake as well will definitely be back

Bob in the grill and the burger was amazing best burger I’ve had in some time and the rest of the staff was fantastic. I’ll be sure to stop here more often

Stopped in here on my way through Greenwood, DE. and was blown away. Josh did a great job explaining Wayback’s menu and had great recommendations for add-ons for the southwest burger and chili cheese tots. The burger was fantastic and the Josh even added a side of jalapeños to the tots (on the side) as a recommendation that took them to a whole different level. Food and experience was so good, had to shake Josh’s hand afterward. All in all fantastic experience and looking forward to stopping by on my next trip through town.

Best burgers in all of greenwood , me and my wife make it a mission to come here at least once a week

This was my first time going to your location. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name who waited on me but he was still learning the register and was apologetic about the hold up however, he was very polite, had a great sense of humor, and was efficient with my to go order. Wonderful customer service and the food was delicious. It is very convenient for me to grab lunch here because I work across the street from your location! I will definitely be back!

Nice to see a good chain expanding into southern Delaware. It was a little busy when we showed up but the staff was attentive and clearly wanted everyone to have a great meal.

Nick made the most AMAZING Cheesesteak in life! I added grilled onions, bacon and grilled mushrooms. He chopped it to perfection the best I've had anywhere! He and Bob maintained a clean friendly and efficient establishment. I live in Bridgeville and was so happy to find a Wayback Burger near me! As of today I've had every menu item, you can't go wrong with anything! I will be back soon
