Windy Top Nursery

This nursery has a large range of native plants compared to other local nurseries, and the prices are unbelievable. A geranium is only $1.50! The owner John is passionate about plants and is always a pleasure to chat with — and he stands by the quality of his plants. My garden has never looked better thanks to his expert advice. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem. Down to earth and no frills. It’s set back in the woods and just feels so nice and calm there. They have a few open greenhouses and a few closed ones, for perennials, annuals and native perennials. They have incredible prices ($1.50 geraniums), and stand by the quality of their plants. John and Chris, the owners, are a treasure trove of information. They also have plants I’ve never seen before, like an annual called millet that looks like dark cattails. For $3, it’s an affordable way for me to play with a new plant in the yard without breaking the bank!

For the past 6 years, I have gotten all my plants and trees from Windy Top. The owners and staff are so pleasant, down to earth people! They advice you as to how to take care of the nursery items you purchased, if you're interested in knowing. I recommend them to all my friends and family!

I had a wonderful visit last month. Bought and planted the natives, and they are doing well. Good prices, hardy plants, knowledgeable staff. I'll be back.

This place is a treasure chest of plants and flowers. The man who owns it is very friendly and knowledgeable. Its a cool place that sits a little tucked away from the road. Prices are very reasonable. I found a cool lily that looked black but is dark purple. I originally came for a diffrent plant but they were currently sold out. I will be back tho. This is definitely a place you should check out.

I highly recommend this place. Small, but bigger than you think, with lots of hidden treasures. The owner, John, loves his plants. You can tell he does this for the thrill of gardening. They are open on Saturday and in the evenings. Best to call first to make sure someone will be there!

The ultimate mom and pop garden nursery, great prices wonderful helpful people. You might have to poke around a little but there is a great selection if you look.
