Riverview Cafe

A wonderful little place on the river to get ice cream, cookies, etc. It's located directly across the street from Jailhouse Pizza in Brandenburg. The owners are super, and you won't be disappointed. They have a small selection of ice cream and soft serve treats to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Come for Sunday pancakes on the porch! Good food, friendly people and great view of the river! Small menu but it’s reasonably priced and delicious.

The best ice cream shop in meade county 100%. Me and my friends love getting ice cream from them and eating it down by the river. The staff is so friendly.

Charming small town spot with only two tables, plus a few chairs outside. One of my favorite spots to visit as the owners are extremely kind and friendly.

Very limited snack options, but all delicious -- ice cream, freshly baked brownies, fried bologna sandwich, coffee, hot cocoa, etc.

If you arrive at lunch or dinner time, they have a daily single menu item that rotates. The day we visited was meatloaf, potatoes, and glazed carrot dinner for $11.95. 100% home cooked.

This is my favorite place to go when I just want to chill out down by the river and eat some ice cream. It's so good and the staff is always nice and smiling!

I come here on occasion with my little brother we love the ice cream and the staff and it’s just a really nice hang spot and you can eat ice cream and look out at the river all at once for a cheap price I highly recommend 🍦🍨

Extremely nice owner's, they are very kind and you can tell they have a love for kids. Always interacting with the kids to make them laugh. Have great ice cream and a variety of different things for the sweet tooth.

It's definitely a must after you hiked The Buttermilk Falls trail! Really enjoyed lemon blueberry next. I'll try the Raseberry!!

Fantastic custard shop with smoothies and scoop ice cream available. Lots of options for toppings. Sold by size and not weight which was great compared to other places. Very much a family-friendly environment. Sadly they are seasonal and close at the end of December and don't open back up until March

I've never had frozen custard before. It was fabulous. It is creamier than ice-cream but not as sweet. I loved it. This Is a great place to get your frozen custard. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. A big variety of flavors and toppings and best thing you can get it all yourself. I'll definitely be coming back. Also reasonably priced. We got 5 small 4 oz cups for 19 dollars. 3.50 for a 4 oz cup ❤

Small town, small business. Remind yourself of that when you walk in and you will have a great experience. This is a family owned store. We got the benefit of meeting the husband and wife who own it when we stopped in. Great people. They have sons that I suspect are often working there, but had this particular Friday night off. The owners were excited to see us and eager to share the features of their shop and what makes them different from other places. I got an Oreo-Banana shake, it was good. Lots of oreo. Banana was largely at the bottom of my cup, but the flavors were throughout. It was very good. My son got and shared the snickers shake with me though…man, that one was the bomb. I get snickers blizzards at DQ a lot but this shake, somehow it was like the pieces were small enough to not be chunks and instead they were like flavor pieces waiting to be reunited in my mouth as I chewed/drank the shake. Super good. As others have said, the prices seem a bit high, but sometimes quality ingredients aren’t cheap, and with the economy of today, the prices from 10 years ago are no longer a good comparison. I would suggest the prices here are similar to high-end ice cream shops in Louisville. Anyway, lots of options at this place and I would highly recommend a stop here to support a true family-owned business. Don’t miss the river view while you are there!

Lots of options and the owners were fantastic. Would highly recommend this place. The strawberry topping was real strawberries, not that cheap strawberry glaze. Excellent!
