Plane & Level Coastal

We visited Plane and Level for a birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it! We tried all but one of the tapas. Arguably, the charcuterie board was the best with cheeses, meats, jam and some of the best candied nuts that I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed the octopus and the bread was divine. The atmosphere was ideal with soft music in the background and beautiful artwork. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, great way to spend our evening celebrating a birthday!

Spanish Revival in Downtown Fairhope! You can’t beat the vibe here it transports you out of lower Alabama to perhaps Malaga or Palma. Do not expect southern size portions here as we ate our entire meal and did not feel stuffed but very satisfied. The food was amazing and offered great variety. Service was excellent with no rush to leave and it appears much like in Spain you are buying the table for the night. The entrees were both knock out and the black grouper special was divine. Great for a special occasion or a date night with your significant other.

We finally got out for a date night, and where we spent it was 10 out of 10 incredible! Plane & Level is the new Spanish tapas and wine restaurant in downtown Fairhope, and I can not say enough, but I'll try.

•The food was delicious and elegantly presented, and the recommendations were superb. Each of the tapas
were a fantastic bite into Spanish cuisine. You could close your eyes and transport yourself to Spain with the flavors and aromas.

•The wine was the best wine I've had since I've been to Italy and my husband to Spain. Fun fact, the wine is very exclusive to Plane & Level. Most of their wine is not sold anywhere else in the world, and again, the recommendations were spot on.

•The atmosphere was beautiful and warm, and the service was 5 star quality. Each person we spoke to were not only incredibly knowledgeable, but you could also hear their passion for Plane & Level.

We had the absolute best time and will be back and bring more people next time.

What a gem of an establishment definitely worth the money.

For those with food allergies or sensitivity this is a great choice.

High quality ingredients, high quality staff and wonderful atmosphere.

Food was excellent. This a place where you enjoy the ambiance over fine food. The duck was great.

I have never had food like this. You can taste the love and passion that goes into each dish. 10/10. The best part of our Fairhope trip was the dining experience at this restaurant.

This place is a gem. After eating at a few Michelin star restaurants finding a place like this was a surprise. Chef Orlando’s dishes were spectacular. He really brought out a lot of different flavor profiles to hit your palate. Madison are server was fantastic and so knowledgeable on wine and food. This will be our new go to place.

I had the pleasure of dining at this Fairhope GEM last week. The moment you walk through the door you experience impeccable service. Each course was perfection. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was evident throughout the meal. I like to order a mix of traditional items but couldn’t resist trying some of the newer, modern dishes. What a pleasant surprise! I was introduced to combinations and ingredients that enhanced the traditional dishes that I had been used to. There is definitely something for everyone, whether you’re looking for tradition or a new food experience. That being said, try to make reservations. We were there for quite some time and didn’t see an empty table. They did accept walk-ins, however, with an acceptable wait time. I can’t wait to go back. Ps, There is a luxurious and cozy banquette style table in the back that seats 6, maybe 8? It’s a slightly elevated area and gives a great view. I’d try and reserve it for an elevated experience:)

We found this place on our way to Pensacola! Plane and Level Coastal is in Fairhope and it’s adorable! As soon as I saw the menu, it took me back to Spain.

The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who were passionate about the menu and great wine recommendations. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, and added to the overall experience.

We ordered a few tapas and a couple larger dishes and each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. The seafood paella transported me back to the streets of Barcelona.

It was explained to me that Plane and Level Coastal is committed to using locally sourced ingredients and supporting the community. It's evident in the freshness of the dishes and the genuine hospitality of the staff.

What a GEM! I am looking forward to my next visit!

Everything we had was outstanding. Atmosphere was nice, but relaxed. Service was excellent. One of the best overall meals we have had in quite a while. We will certainly return.

I was here at this location when the previous restaurant was struck by lightning. I had a premonition and told the bartender it would be struck. And then it was indeed struck 15 min later. The bartender was shocked I had been correct and confident enough to actually mention it. Nobody was hurt.

Guys, this place is phenomenal! The food, the service, the atmosphere! It's not a meal, it's an experience!!!! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself! Make sure to save room for dessert!

My husband and I moved here 12 years ago from Chicago/Los Angeles areas and this is the first time we have experienced this level of sophistication and quality. Chef Orlando is a gem. The food and wine menu are next level. Highly recommend!

Great first dining experience here. My wife and I are fond of authentic Spanish cuisine and this is as close as we’ve ever found. Great wine selection, our favorite dish was a tie between the oysters and wagyu empanadas!

My husband and I loved our meal and overall experience at Plane and Level. Wonderful service, great wine, total vibe, and the food was unreal. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Plane and Level for a great experience.

Amazing food & excellent service

The atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant has been totally redone. The service was excellent and can't say enough about the food. From the ceviche, jamon croquetas, bluefin tuna, octopus, etc. to the wonderful desserts, everything was absolutely delicious.

As soon as we arrived we were given 5 star treatment. Our server, Jason, was most helpful and Josepher explained the menu and the history of the atmosphere’s concept. The bread service, waguy empanadas and octopus were all exceptional.
We would gladly return to have another fine and upscale dining experience.

Went for the first time tonight with my wife and we loved it! 100% going back!

A wonderful addition to the Fairhope food scene. Unique and inventive.
Will definitely be back! Highly recommend the bread service, braised short rib, and gelato flight.
