Trying to spend a quiet afternoon right before the eclipse in the backcountry of my home state of Texas. Along the way I was almost accosted by some local Ramen trying to keep the peace and if you're going to be down this way just make sure that you follow the rules and you know it's worth it. Anyway I ran into Old Hill Country Store which was the first gas station on the left coming in from the last doordash order I had delivered . And I tell you what it's probably one of the best stops I've made in a long time. I'm talking friendly friendly friendly Texas friendly it's worth the stop. Right across the street from hatch Cafe and Bakery monster like that he even got treats!!

Employees are great . The only thing that sucks is that they close too early. Other than that I give them 5 stars

Gotta love my buddy's at Sweets! Not that my flavor of smokes is on the fore front of mind, but it's getting there! Wish the coolers were a wee bit colder.

A fresh baked cookie or piece of fruit with each purchase makes the stop for gas easier with kids in the car ;)
