Upcountry Cafe

The food was delicious! I had the hot pastrami reuben and a lemon blueberry scone. I ate the sandwich before I could take a photo 😂 Most of the food, including scones, are made in house. Staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great with inside and outside seating. There are coloring supplies and games to keep kids entertained.

I suggest not being in a hurry if you're stopping here. The staff makes time to engage with patrons, and the food is made to order. They are efficient but not harried. Definitely, a chill welcoming vibe.

Killer bacon egg and cheese breakfast bagel. Super chill and inviting settings, with good music playing. Will definitely be back when I'm through town. The owner seems to be the guy slanging bagels in the back, respect

I visited this establishment based on the recommendation of a park aide at Grover Hot Springs. My expectations were met and exceeded. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and lox on an everything bagel. The food was delectable, and the staff was exceptionally amiable.

Eric and his wife are very friendly, and they have great customer service. They offer delicious smoothies and breakfast sandwiches and a wide variety of options for my taste buds. The coffee shop has an alluring vibe and I love the new updates.

The Good:
-We had breakfast here twice. Their bagel with cream cheese and lox was pretty good (and this coming from a NYer). I got it twice.
-Service was friendly, helpful, and prompt.
-A nice interior with pleasant seating

The Bad:
-Whatever service they are using for music runs ads, which is really annoying

Retired motorcycle tour guy here. This is the type of place I can't get enough of. An oasis off the beaten path. Fantastic food and service. If I'm ever in the area again I'll make sure to stop.

We had a wonderful experience! The barista was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Plus, their bagels were absolutely delicious – fresh and flavorful.

Have dined in as well as take away several times. The food, service and atmosphere…all excellent. So thankful to have this gem of a place in the tiny town of Markleeville.

Very nice place. We stoppped on the way to Yosemite, do not regret it. Good food and atmosphere, we felt much welcome.
