Celtic Creamery Surf City

Best of the four ice cream stores we tried in the area. The ice cream is silky, creamy and delicious. My waffle cone was fresh and still crisp despite the high humidity. I tried the birthday cake and butter pecan during our two seprate visits, both were very good. Kids liked theirs too. The store is small and can feel crowded, however the line moves quickly.

Great quality ice cream. You can tell it's made with good quality ingredients. All the flavors are delicious and hard to choose favorites. Their toppings are great and so are the sauces. We will be back.

My husband and I recently visited Celtic Creamery in Surf City, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots! This charming, family-owned shop offers a warm and welcoming ambiance, with friendly smiles greeting you the moment you walk in. The ice cream, made fresh in-house, is unbelievably creamy and flavorful, with a variety of options to please every palate. Their house-made donuts and cookies are just as irresistible. The owner’s passion and kindness make the experience even more special. Celtic Creamery is now a must-stop for us whenever we’re in Surf City—it’s truly a must try!

Delicious ice cream with unique flavors. I had the Carolina Cooler sundae (ice cream over warm apple pie) which was amazing. My daughter and her husband the surfer special that had ice cream over freshly made mini donuts…need I say more? My wife had two scoops in a cup and walked away with a smile. Check this place out when in Surf City!

My banana split was super delicious!! The staff was super friendly and sweet! They are family owned and you can tell they take pride and love in their ice cream and as well as delivering exceptional customer service !

You can't go wrong with any of these flavors. The mini donuts were made fresh when we ordered and it's the best ice cream I've had in a long time!!

Super pleased with our visit! Service could not have been better, and the ice cream was delicious. Staff was VERY friendly, offered samples and were attentive to our needs - some of the best service I’ve had in YEARS! Super clean, inviting and updated inside. We will DEFINITELY be back next time we are on Topsail Island!

Best ice cream I've ever had. Even their more simple flavors like "cookie dough" far exceed your average cookie doughs. The ice cream is soft and creamy while packed with loads of cookie dough! I've been here a few times now too... if you're feeling different, try the "under the sea by bee" flavor! It's caramel and honey on a vanilla based ice cream! Yummy 😋

We got the mint to be, oh no dough and cookies and cream. Personally, I've had thousands of different types of cookie and cream and cookie dough flavored ice cream in my life, and this definitely is top 5! 👌

SOOoooo good! By far the best ice cream we've had in the area. Very high quality and amazing flavor! We would go out of our way to come here instead of other shops (had the peanut butter cup, cookie dough, and sea salt/caramel/honey). They make fresh donuts also so we'll have to try that next time!

We came as a family and got the tummy trembler. Such a good deal and such good ice cream!! They’re very kind and we enjoyed the food. Will come again!

The absolute best ice cream place in the Topsail area by far, and I would vote it best ice cream place in all of North Carolina. The ice cream is amazing, the specialty sundaes and options are utterly brilliant, and the theme is great. They hustle to move the line fast also. This place is an utter gem and worth going out of your way to find.

Best ice cream we have ever had. Favorites are Oh No Cookie Dough, Heavenly Heath, Celtic Coffee and Blackberry Bramble. We look forward to visiting every chance we get. Always clean and always a friendly staff.

Delightfully surprised! My children and I stopped in at the Surf City location. I had the Irish Butter Pecan. It was creamy and the flavor was fantastic! The kids said theirs was also. We all loved it! Happy to see they have a location in Smithfield a little closer to home. Will be back!

This place always has excellent service and even better ice cream! You can’t go wrong with anything from here! The birthday cake ice cream is always a favorite!! The fresh donuts are heavenly as well!
