This quaint coffee shop near the SIU Med Campus is an absolute gem. The ambiance is cool and inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The staff is incredibly nice, adding a personal touch to the experience. The coffee quality is exceptional, definitely a must-try for any coffee lover. Supporting this small business feels good, knowing you’re contributing to the local community. Highly recommended!

This little coffeehouse was such a wonderful find!! We each had the bacon and cheddar quiche and split a cinnamon roll! Both items were excellent. Their coffee was very good as well (and I am a bit of a coffee nerd!). The two ladies behind the counter were friendly and gave great service as well. So you have to try this place!

I have been looking for a new coffee house and Yellow Bird caught my eye on Google. I decided to treat myself to one of their lavender lattes, and to put it simply, it was exquisite. It has been quite a while since I had a lavender latte that was that delicious.

The coffee shop is small but very cute, it has a homey atmosphere to it which I adore. I feel as though i could come here for brunch with friends or simply for a coffee and to read or write. I will definitely be back 🖤

Quaint!! Cute!! Cozy!! Kindness!! The owners walk around and check in with customers; they are super warm and welcoming. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. Note— it is a small space with limited seating, which keeps it cozy. There is outdoor seating as well on first street in front of the shop. Love stopping in!!

Yellow Bird Coffee House is near the hospitals on 1st St. I caught a post on Instagram announcement that they were open on a Saturday. Apparently that’s a once a month occurrence. The coffee shop was full of happy people. It makes sense because the husband and wife owners were walking around and interacting with their patrons. As for me, I always like trying a cold brew first. To me, it’s the equivalent of making sure a sushi place has good spicy tuna sushi before I fall in love with their restaurant. Their cold brew is smooth. It doesn’t taste very acidic. I also had the coffee cake muffin. That was delicious. Especially the icing. Overall, I’ll definitely try to catch them on an open Saturday again. Thank you, Yellow Bird Coffee House!

I have been having my morning coffee with a group of friends for over a decade and a half at this location. In it's present form...Yellow Bird Coffee House is the best of all the establishments that have been there. The coffee is great. The food is great. The crew is unbelievable! Nicole, Gabbi, Jayla, and Anna work so well together that it is a dream to watch! If you want an experience to treasure, go enjoy the Yellow Bird

I loved my French vanilla latte! I didn't get any food, but the slices of quiche were steaming and HUGE! Great ambiance & beautiful interior. My only cons are the short hours (closes at noon) and small tables!

Always great service, house-made syrups available, the coffee cubes are perfect in the iced lattes, and the breakfast sandwiches and quiches always hit the spot — my wife and I will be coming back.

A lovely place, a refreshing getaway from the medical atmosphere across the road! A little escape, a hideaway from all that! A peaceful place, but also the atmosphere and decor are a treat for the historian and history buff’s eyes! It was a blessing to me that I stumbled onto this place.

It’s so close and I’m a Coffee addict so i had to go and try it
I usually try any espresso drinks at any new place to actually taste the beans and this one is really good! Not that bitter or acidic.. just balanced.
They’re putting coffee cubes instead of ice cubes and THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!!
My only comment is i had to wait little longer for my drink, however the place was busier than usual i guess.

Incredible vibe and food! It has this chill laid back yet college like atmosphere. A good place to relax and also get things done. We will definitely go again.

First time visit today I had been wanting to go so what better day to go than a Monday that you take off of work before going to the pool I am talk texting so this appears as a run on sentence please forgive me the iced latte was wonderful and the coffee cake muffin was good I would like to try other stuff in the future I can see myself going back the staff was friendly there was a good atmosphere

Seriously, hands down the best coffee shop! The coffee is so delicious no matter how you order it! They put coffee ice in your iced coffee drinks to avoid dilution as your drink it.

They have homemade pastries that rivals your grandma's pastries. The cinnamon rolls and caramel pecan rolls are my favorite!

The owners are the sweetest and look to take care of each and every person.

Found this little gem looking for coffee while waiting at Springfield Clinic. Great coffee. Came back for quiche.

Adorable little shop, great coffee, and tasty food. The cold brew with coffee infused ice cubes is perfect. The cinnamon roll was also great. The owners are amazing to boot. I can't wait to try more of their offerings.

This coffee house has quickly become my favorite in town and my weekly treat with my preschooler after gymnastics at the Y! The owners pamper her and she loves all the attention!! In addition to making everyone feel welcomed and cared for, all the products are truly exceptional! The pecan roll and cold brew are my usuals and today we took home some quiche to try in the morning! I have no doubt I’ll love it too!
