My wife and I decided to have this firm build a house on LBI. We did have 3 choices when we began our project and decided to go with TJ. The project was completed within 45 days of the estimate. I think it is important to note that besides TJ as the builder, his employees are fantastic. Janine was our liaison with the firm and kept us informed during all aspects of the build. She also helped my wife pick out tile, appliances, lighting, and facets. Frank also helped out a lot as well in getting answers and updates. No build is perfect but we were very happy all of our concerns were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. It was very satisfying when the house was turned over to us on Memorial Day weekend and had a beautiful weekend with our family. I would refer this firm to any of my friends or family for any new construction project.

Nice Construction Company but you give their employees a second chance.

Purchased this house 5+ years ago and the owner personally promised us that if we had any issues to call them. Even if they were not under warranty they would make sure that the repairs were done. "We care about what we build" is the words they used. New house. Beautiful , really had no complaints for first 5 years. Then Air conditioners went and we had to buy new ones. We actually understood that since they did build spec house and can understand not putting in top of line when it is for rental purposes.
Then we noticed a leak . We thought it was roof. Called talked to an extremely nice person who said it was not covered but he would connect us with his person to check it out and let us know what had to be done.
Received call that it was not roof. Asked next steps and was told they would have someone get back to us.
More water and now mildew around window. Called again. Oh yes we will have someone get back to you . Nothing
Called again. An nice female answered the phone. Listened to the saga and stated that was unacceptable and she would inform Ted who would call us and she also said she would f/u with a confirmation email. You guessed it. No Ted and no email.

After 2 mths we finally have someone who might do the work Now the bill will be over $17,000 dollars and am told that the leak was probably a slow one since the house was built.
I do get it. leaks happen and water is the worst. Was not asking Fluehr to absorb cost or put under warranty. JUST WANTED IT FIXED!!! I am not sure what they mean when they said they stand behind their houses.
I have never written a bad review before. My feeling has always been when an issue resolved with the company personally, but hard to do if they do not respond .
PS. Recommended them to another LBI owner too who had them build their house. Sorry we did

Shower head installed with huge dent.switchplate installed over door frame, sent painters who did not speak English so nothing was done. Shower tiles not installed correctly water pools again after so called repair. Horrible for returning calls but outstanding with excuses. Would not recommend at all.
