Fairwinds Farm

Fairwinds Farm & Stable was an enjoyable and experience horseback riding with my wife. The staff was very inviting, JoAnn was especially patient and ensured we were always attentive during the trail. I highly recommend others to visit this location and see all they have to offer. If nothing else, get away from the demands of life and relax on the trails embracing nature.

Visit Fairwinds Farm to soothe your soul. Ted and Jo Ann Dawson run a business where all are welcome. My husband and I stopped by without notice after watching the movie “Cream of the Crop” featuring Jo Ann. We had a lovely experience on the farm talking with the Dawsons, exploring the grounds, and watching horse jumping.

This company is very easy to book they were the only company that accommodated my wife’s birthday date, affordable and professional she loved her ride. The scenery is beautiful our horse teddy did a great job and the owners are very nice thank you for making my wife’s birthday special!

My husband and I went on the carriage ride and picnic. Very romantic. People are very friendly. We had a wonderful time. The picnic food was excellent baked chicken, asparagus, homemade potato salad, rolls ,grapes and homemade cookies and sparkling grape juice.

My younger brother used this as his Wedding venue. They used a white carriage and a beautiful horse to pull his fiance up to the covered area ( summer showers) where the service was held. They got some awesome photos after the service. The owners were very nice and made lots of suggestions to make their day a very memorable one for all.

Went for a trail ride with my 9yo and had a great experience. You can tell they take care of their horses and know each one. JoAnn took the time to make sure each horse was surrounded by other horses it was comfortable with so there were no issues during the ride. They took time to show everyone the correct ways to steer and stop and mount and dismount. The trail ride went through field and forest, even giving time for a brief gallop. Beautiful property and great experience for a beginner. Would definitely recommend!

My kids take riding lessons and we have done several trail rides. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We love Fairwinds Farm!

I wish I could give 10 stars! We came today for my daughters birthday to do a trail ride and it exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Our trail guide was Tammy and I’m so happy it was. She was so kind and attentive towards my daughter’s friend (it was her first ride). She made it so enjoyable! My daughter even got a book for it being her birthday. The horses were so sweet. I can not wait to go back again! We drove an hour to get there and it was worth every second. I highly recommend!

Scout lecture and ring ride was a hit with our Girl Scouts. Joann and her staff are knowledgeable and patient. The facility is charming and well maintained. The horses were perfect for complete beginners, ensuring everyone involved had a fun experience. We may have even sparked a few future equestrians in the group! If you're looking for a reputable stable, this is it.

They were so sweet to my two toddlers who came and got to ride Mr. Peabody. Everyone was so nice, and my sons really enjoyed their ride and getting to collect eggs and meet the donkey and goat. Playing fetch with the dog was also a bonus as was meeting the cat!

It's a calm, peaceful paradise that I look forward to every weekend. My daughter takes riding lessons there and their instructors are amazing. They'll take any skill level rider and make them better. My daughter leaves that place with a great sense of accomplishment and a confidence that she brings to everything else she does. Horse trails are wonderful and the weddings there are so beautiful. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Just stop in and you'll understand.

If this had 1,000 stars I would give it to this company . The horses was so friendly and the staff was amazing. Great prices and I love the nature experience. My boyfriend Justin and I absolutely enjoyed our time here . My horse was Barney and my boyfriend had Cruz . This experience was beyond unforgettable. I definitely will be coming back . The trail was awesome and we learned so many things . I love the safety as well they provided us with helmets . My favorite part would have to be going up and down on the hills during the trail . But most importantly our tour guide was the best she shared so much good information, I forgot her name but she mentioned her favorite horse was Mr.Peabody 🧡. Our tour guide also had a dog with her that led the way . It was so funny 😂. Thank you for this experience cannot wait to come back again .

I have been taking riding Lessons with Nadine, she is a FANTASTIC instructor! She helps you achieve your goals, that might be in jumping, maybe you just to lean how to ride, maybe you want to take a trail ride, for me it is dressage. They will teach you how to prepare your horse for your lesson (grooming, putting on the saddle and bridle correctly) before you know it your doing it on your own!
I really enjoy my weekly lesson and highly recommend Fairwinds Farm.

My daughter takes riding lessons with Sidney. She has learned a lot about English style riding while having fun! Her confidence is booming and her connection to the horses is undeniable. Fairwinds creates a safe and personal experience for students. Highly recommend!

Beautiful scenic place, close to nature - nice farm house with stables. Excellent place for meditation and relaxing.

Great trail ride, staff was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable and prepared for the ride. Safe, fun and great price (trail rides and riding lessons)! I will definitely visit again!

We just came back after spending a week-end at this farm, and we had a fantastic experience! JoAnn and Ted are very warm yet laid-back hosts, they really open up your home to you, but let you roam around freely and do as much or as little as you want.
We took our 2 children, aged 2 and 8, and both had such a great time: the older one had a horseback riding lesson and did a trail ride, the little one loved seeing all the animals around the farm, swinging, a pony ride, etc. The farm is also quite picturesque, wonderful for fall photos.
We spend the night in the attic, and we did see a couple of bugs (not dangerous) out there, but other than that, the house exceeded our expectations (not that we had bad expectations, but it's an old farm house, so I imagined it would be a lot harder to maintain very clean than a new hotel): the bathrooms were spotless, lots of towels, bedrooms had lots of books and videos.

My husband Josh and I held our wedding here at Fairwinds Farm and Stables this past weekend, Saturday September 9th, 2017!! Fairwinds was an absolutely wonderful place to hold our wedding! JoAnn was always very helpful and responded to emails in no time! Josh and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!! From the relaxed atmosphere, to the beautiful scenery, and lovely bonfire-JoAnn and Ted were very accommodating and helpful with everything from the very beginning with the planning to Josh's grand entrance, the carriage ride and to assisting guests with parking. Everyone can not stop talking about how beautiful our wedding was! We loved every bit of it. We will always remember our time at Fairwinds and will be sure to visit for some horseback riding! It was absolutely an amazing weekend! JoAnn and Ted will work with you to make sure your vision comes to life! I can't say enough lovely things about the entire experience!

I have now been there several times. With young children for Butterscotch, the pony rides, and farm tour. WIth older children for trail rides and with a grown daughter on a beautiful afternoon ride. Each and every time we were met hospitably and on time. We were shown kindness and patience. The horses were well cared for and happy and we all thouroughly enjoyed all our visits. Signing up for summer camp now!!!
