WHEW! When I tell you about this delicious, fresh turkey hoagie - it will be the ONLY hoagie you will think about.

It’s a small deli, with a large menu of cold sandwich options. They carry a variety of snacks and drinks. Even some fresh fruit! They take cash and card. My suggestion is bring cash - only because it’s a small deli and their card reader may be down. Wonderful customer service and wonderful customers. This deli is a delicious reminder that Delaware has its many little treasures tucked away in the least obvious of places.

I had a fresh turkey hoagie. The turkey meat was chopped right off the bone. The tomatoes, onion, and lettuce were crisp. The mayo was the perfect hoagie mayo - with that little bit of sweetness that you expect from mayo on a hoagie sub. THE BREAD??? Perfect crusty hoagie bread. A+++

Great place for hot or cold sandwiches been going to this place for over 30 years never had anything if you try them out you won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to Country Maid for 30 years. The lunch meat is fresh sliced and always fresh. The subs are great and custom made. Everyone that works at Country Maid are kind and very helpful. One of the best deli's in New Castle County!!!

This Country Maid has the best sandwiches and subs I've had for awhile! Love to go there staff is friendly and courteous and the store is clean. Great breakfast stop to.

The staff are always a pleasure to talk to when ordering food. If you don't see it on shelf ask they may have it in the back. Great lil store to grab a few things for the road. Stop in an d try their sandwiches from the deli.

Faygo is decently hard to find outside of Michigan but this tiny deli in Newark, Delaware had so many flavors to choose from!! (My aunt and I recommend the cotton candy and cola) But not only is it a deli but it has so many snacks!

One of the first restaurants in the area I went to and had a great experience. Great food, and even military friendly. Definitely coming back in the future

This is one of my favorite lunch places in Newark DE. They also do breakfast. The deli food is always fresh and the prices are great.

The "Ladies" there are awesome, they keep it real. The good, the bad, you get what you give.

I have been a customer at this store for 27 years. The subs are great and the macaroni salad is the best around. They wait on you on a first come, first served basis, regardless of whether you are a regular or not. I will continue to patronize this store for many years to come.
That being said, I was at the store last month 7/2/2020, just after 7:30 PM. The woman who was in such a rush that she had to be served first, because she had chicken in the car. Bantering back and forth in front of the store, then sitting in her car in front of the store, then sitting in her car further out in the parking lot, and I have photos to prove it. HARASSING the workers. Seams to me she couldn't care less about her damn chicken.
Then she leaves a bad review for spite, just because she didn't get her way. They are better off without that kind of business.

Incredibly friendly. Good ol fashion sandwich shop. Don’t forget to order cheese and lunch meat!

They stuff these sandwiches full to the brim. Daily specials on meats & cheeses can’t be beat for the quality. They carry Boars Head products so it’s all fresh & tasty. Their Deli Roastbeef is Delish. Ashley & Josh are so friendly and offer top notch customer service. Enjoy!
EDIT: 2022- new owners. Since then Prices have sky-rocketed (pre-Covid). And even more so now. They no longer sell lottery tickets and the stock/selection has greatly decreased as well. Needless to say, I no longer shop there.

Great deli with the best cold cuts anywhere! The staff behind the counter is happy and helpful. They have lots of different kinds of chips and pretzels and the milk is cheaper there than the nearby Acme! And you can buy scratch off tickets, megaball and Powerball tickets!

Not only some of the best subs in the area, they take the time to wrap them up to last. I work overnight and letting them know how long it will be before I can eat it allows them to make sure it stays fresh. The personal touches make a big difference.

My go to place for subs on a busy night. The employees are very welcoming and very personable. There is usually a wait here so be sure to build an extra 10 minutes into your schedule and you will be glad you did.

I was very happy and surprised to find this place. The prices are affordable, the staff is helpful and friendly and the food is really really good. I feel like I just stumbled on a gem Off the beaten path.

○°•●•°○ This is the place to go for lunch meat, hoagie Did I mention BREAKFAST SANWICHES. They serve breakfast sandwiches until 11:00 am and they are good... well it is a Country Maid... Yes they have SCRAPPLE.

I love the sub's and breakfast sandwiches from C & C. It feels like a small town deli when you step inside. It's homey and friendly and the food is good! I love this place!
