Camino Real Mexican Restaurant

Great food, great drinks, & all for great prices!! These are the mango margaritas and for dinner I had the 2 enchilada combo, I think about it often because it was that good! My husband order the steak fajitas and keeps asking to go back so needless to say.. We are already planning our next trip!

Loved this place. We needed an outdoor patio that is covered due to having a dog with us and it was raining. Patio is beautiful it’s lit up with colorful lights and it’s well ventilated and spacious. We got a table for 7 out there. Service was fast and food was hot fresh and had great flavor. I got the steak fries and they were full of flavor 10/10.

Great place to come and enjoy some Mexican food. Very friendly staff, if undecided they are very helpful in making some grate choices. The adult beverage menu is a wide variety of drinks. As a local I recommend coming here when you wanna just sit back and chill. They have sometime a live band out side so you can enjoy the sounds of beach music while you have dinner. They have plenary of sports on the bounteous tvs.

My wife and I come here quite often. The food is fantastic as well as the staff. We had Enrique as our waiter today and he was very good, even though they were busy he was very attentive and made sure we were being taken care of. Highly recommend eating at Camino Real.

This was our first trip to Surf City and while we knew we would be having seafood at some point, this place was recommended by our dentist, so we thought…why not? We are so glad we did.

We were seated immediately and our waiter (who was very cute and good at what he does) was quick to bring us beverages and take our orders. We started with the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer and WOW, it was fantastic. There were a LOT of huge shrimp coated in a perfect buffalo sauce. As good as the shrimp were, they were almost beat out by the “mushroom, cilantro, onion, tomato” buffalo salad in the center of the plate. They need to definitely sell that by the gallon…it was that good.

I had the chicken quesadilla which was chock full of chicken and oh so delicious. It was HUGE, but I managed to clean my plate (and would have licked it if I hadn’t been in public…also THAT good.

My husband had the chicken fajita quesadilla and it would be difficult to find anything better in any Mexican restaurant. It was also HUGE and he ended up bringing some home. It was even better crisped up in the air fryer the next day:-).

We will be back in Surf City many times in the future because our nephew bought a place at a local campground and it’s perfect for our RV. Will definitely be back for more amazing food at Camino Real.

The service was great and the food arrived at the table very quickly. The picante salsa was spicy, and the menu was simple but fine. No fault to the restaurant, but parking might be difficult at some times during the day.

Tonight my fiancé and I got a to go order from this restaurant on our first night of vacation in Surf city. I called in and the girl who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. Then my fiancé went inside and he had a pleasant experience with the customer service. Our food was phenomenal. It was extremely flavorful, and the portion sizes are great for what you pay for! I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good Mexican food!

Went there for lunch and ordered the fajitas. They were delicious! The salsa was great as well. Both salsas had a nice heat and flavor to them. Great service as well!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Camino Real Mexican Restaurant for the first time, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Sam. From the moment we were seated, Sam was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was memorable.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, but it was Sam's service that truly stood out. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and was quick to accommodate any requests we had. His attention to detail and genuine care for our experience made us feel valued and appreciated.

The food was delicious, and Sam's suggestions were spot on. He checked in on us regularly without being intrusive and made sure that our drinks were always topped up and that we were satisfied with our meals.

Overall, my first visit to Camino Real Mexican Restaurant was fantastic, and Sam played a huge role in that. Enrique was absolutely amazing. He gave us menu suggestions, was very attentive to our needs, checked on us constantly, gave us updates on our food status, and was just overall wonderful.

Loved this place. The server was terrific. The food was awesome. The atmosphere was really cool. Everything was great!!

Living locally…. We absolutely LOVE this restaurant!! Enrique was our server and has been a few times and he’s THE BEST!!! The fajita burrito is by far the best!!! Highly recommend!!

Took my wife there for her birthday. She tried to single handedly drink the Big Daddy margarita. Ok folks we were expecting a big margarita but not this. The glass is literally the size of a bowling ball. Little under half way she taps out. 2 days worth of suffering but she says it was so worth it because that was the best margarita she ever had and consequently probably her last. Take at least 4 people with you if you are going to tackle this thing. The food was great and a table of random strangers sang happy birthday to her. Camino Real for the win!!

From the time we got seating at our booth Samuel took great care of us. The food was promptly brought out after the delicious appetizers! Definitely 10/10 for beach visits or even the locals!

Everytime I'm in Surf City I have a meal here. I've never been disappointed! Food, drinks and service are always great. This was first visit for my mom, who doesn't typically eat too much. However, on this visit I think she we would've eaten the napkins. She devoured her plate! Servings are very generous and you always leave satisfied and usually with some leftovers. A definite must visit when in the area.

Great food with amazing service. Our waiter Sam was extremely helpful with helping my family choose the best things on the menu. Very knowledgeable and friendly, can’t recommend him enough!
