Daddy Mac's Beach Grille

We just had an appetizer and drinks on our visit, but man, what a view! I highly recommend going for an afternoon snack & beverage. It does close at 3 to prepare for dinner. We had the grilled shrimp app, my husband had a mojito & I had a fruity frozen drink. The app was sooo good! The breeze is great & the view of the beach is divine.

I mean, you can't beat that view. Pat was a great server. The Buffalo shrimp, crab cake & the Lava Flow cocktail were yummy.

Love the food and the friendly service. The crab dip was yummy. I tried the swordfish special and it was wonderful. It was moist and flavorful, took me back to my childhood and my Mother's swordfish. Prices are in line with other establishments located beach front. Overall this is a great experience.

I had the most delightful experience celebrating my grandma's birthday at Daddy Mac's Beach Grill! The brunch was fantastic, offering delicious food and drinks. The staff went above and beyond, being incredibly nice and accommodating. The beautiful beach view added the perfect touch to our celebration. Highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not a long wait for really good seafood. If you have the opportunity to sit outside you should. Right near the pier do great views.

The 40 minute wait was well worth it. You have to order the Tex-Mex eggrolls, they are delicious and probably the best part of the meal. So good in fact I ordered a second serving.

Crab cakes brought us in. We ordered the Louisiana Style and they were DELICOIUS. We also loved their Lobster Bites and Fried Shrimp. Would have loved to see asparagus as a veggie side choice, but the side salad was good.

Visited Daddy Mac’s twice while in the area this week. Once for takeout and once to treat my Mom to a seafood dinner on the water. Beautiful views of the ocean and the moon. 🌙
Eclectic cocktail menu. Place was crowded every night we were here, so come early. The blackened scallops were amazing and the crabcakes are a must try. We will be back!

The food was excellent, the view is amazing and the staff performed their jobs well.
Everyone was hustling trying to keep up with the high demand. My kid accidentally poured way too much salt on his Pasta, the owner/manager recognized this from across the room and came over. We laughed and told him what happened not thinking more of it. Without hesitation he took the plate and returned with fresh pasta. He held a conversation with us and wished us a good vacation.
Got to love a local place that cares and is kind to their customers!

Food is good but this review is mostly for service. Our server “ Emory“ was absolutely amazing. She was a pleasure to speak to, took her time and made sure we are not left unattended. Our food came out fast and our glasses never dried. We will be back. (Table of 10)

Daddy Mac's consistently operates at a high level with great food and service. It's going to be busy and for good reason, but the wait list text messaging system worked really well, and the staff who assisted us a couple nights ago were very friendly and attentive.

I've been away from Topsail for a few years, but this restaurant doesn't disappoint. My partner and I shared the calamari appetizer and each got the crab-stuffed flounder. He said it's the best meal he's ever had dining out. It came out piping hot, was very flavorful and not skimpy with portions. Just generally, we really enjoyed our time there and admired how well everything seemed to run for being so busy.

A really nice addition since the last time I was here: You can order drinks from a window to the bar from the waiting area. It's nice to have a cocktail and people watch from the deck while waiting.

Amazing spot. Went there for dinner 3/6 and had a great experience. Service extremely friendly and you can't beat the view. Had appetizers Hibachi Shrimp and Calamari, both excellent. Highly recommend this spot

Absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I went last night for date night and the food was delicious! We got the hot crab dip, fried oysters, and calamari for appetizers and then shrimp & grits and pesto chicken Alfredo for our entrees. Each dish, the view of the beach, and the service was all amazing. We’ll definitely be back to dine in & for take out!

This was our first time eating here and it was amazing! We waited for a table on the deck and it was worth the hour wait. Our server Francesca was wonderful and kept a smile on her face the entire time. The manager was making his rounds the entire night making sure everyone's food was good. We will definitely add this to our list of places to eat while at Topsail on our yearly vacation.

Dinner with family on a Friday night. Just a 15 minute wait for a table, not bad considering how busy they were. Got a great table inside with a view of the ocean. Sweet hostess (Sydney), all smiles and very helpful. Had the shrimp kababs and Louisiana crabcakes. Both were excellent, the shrimp especially. Food was brought out quickly, great service. Really enjoyed our meal and would like to return on our next trip to the island. Prices were on par with what we expected.

Prompt service, even on a busy summer Saturday afternoon. Cheerful reception and wait staff. Excellent quality food. Especially recommend the fish tacos! Stunning view of the ocean and the pier! We will revisit the next time we are in Surf City!

Absolutely the most wonderful dining experience out on the deck overlooking the ocean. Food, drinks and service were fabulous!

I celebrated my birthday here. It was wonderful. Sitting by the water with some great food and an even cocktail. You can ask for nothing better.

Amazing spot!! Checked in around 530 for a party of 2, 30 min wait no problem. Went upstairs to the drink window enjoyed a delicious mojito on the patio and were called for our table outside in 15 short minutes. Our server Nathan was so polite and competent. Menu was excellent, nice sized portions for a very reasonable price. Tasted great as well. Excellent experience.

Great dining experience. Really enjoyed the food, service was great, and location was fantastic.
