Dim Sum King El Monte

Small hole in the wall, mom and pop shop. I didn't want to come in, but after the reviews I read, I went for it. They did not disappoint. My god the food was so good!! The Peach Green Tea was delicious! Not watered down either.

Hey, it's a mom & pop style togo dim sum place! Everytime I go to the east of LA passing El Monte, stop by here and get a lot of dim sum! It may not be good as the actual set restaurant place, but the price and decent food are the deal! I can't complain at all! I love their dim sum!

BEST DIM SUM EVER! The owner was so nice, since I placed a large order they gave me a free cake for Chinese New Year! I will definitely be back!

Food prepare well and package well. So many variety in breakfast . A bit of waiting time , lot of parking space avaiable . So many dimsum in this location . The staff are super friendly and helpful.

The food was bomb! Husband really liked the egg yolk buns. Got 10 items for such a reasonable price! Just wish they had more veggies.

Shu Mai and Har Gow were pretty good and bigger than we expected! Overall, the price and quality are better than some places and I love that they're open untill 6pm! Fulfills our dim sum cravings!

Busy on Sundays (expected) with lines out the door. I called to place my order but stood in line to pay. I had no idea if I could cut the line but since there were like 5 people ahead, I just waited. Their egg tarts are so good and flaky! It's been my go to even before stay-at-home started. They also have a great porridge combo which is what I usually get!

I've been coming here for a year and I love their assortment of snacks, especially their Siumai. Also, the food is very affordable as well.

Love it. Best Dimsum I ever had. Very authentic Hongkongese Dimsum. Its family-owned and they are Hongkongese. I came from OC and OC also has a lot of DimSum restaurants but nothing can compare. The price are very affordable, even its far. I am still willing to drive to El Monte to get it because the portions are huge, very quality and cheap. I ate over 10 DimSum places from Chinese & Hongkongese owners to Vietnamese owners. This is live up to its name Dimsum King.

This is my family's go-to place for dim sum now because the price is great for the portion that is included. The taste and quality is also great. I've interacted with the people that run it during busy time and an hour before closing time and they have always been respectable (just don't expect everyone in the world to smile for you). English is limited so try to figure it out from the English fill-in menu and pictures at the counter.

My family commemorates the passing of their patriarch on this date, then we share a dim sum together. We Googled Dim Sum near where we were and we tried this place. It’s a small location, mostly to-go phone orders, the lady said. But they had room for our 12 person party, so we ate in. Varied menu and we ordered a lot! It was delicious and everyone went home happy and satiated, with plenty of leftovers for later. The lady was very nice and happily accommodated our every request. My wife told her nephew, “Now THAT is a hole-in-the-wall find!” We will be back! Thank you!

This is my favorite place for takeout dim sum. It's reasonably priced, the selection is fair, the food is consistent, hours run past brunch (8am-6:30pm), they accept credit cards ($10 minimum), parking is always available, and the service is quick. They have a sheet that you mark up what you want to order, but even when I don't fill out the sheet, I've never had a problem ordering in English. Some favorites like the shrimp rice noodles roll can sell out before noon. I will typically order their chicken feet, shu mai, and pineapple bun.

I've tried other dim sum takeout places around SGV and this one stands out as the best. There are many dine-in dim sum places that do better, but if you're not in the mood for the full experience, Dim Sum King hits the spot for many reasons.

I always go here to satisfy my dim sum cravings, especially when I can't go to a sit-down restaurant. the food is always delicious and I love supporting my local small businesses.

My to go place for Dim Sum take out. Shumai, chicken feet, chow mien with soy sauce, and fried rice are pretty good.

Dsk was the bomb ! Fresh, flavorful, & piping hot(I have never gotten fresh dim sum even @sit down restaurants that were piping hot(usually dim sum comes out sort of warm/room temperature( not good :(. NBC , or ocean harbor(Atlantic blvd, monterey pk...they fail in comparison !) Hands down, this was the best dim sum I have ever eaten !

Cute little fast food dim sum place. Sweet people that run it, they were pretty polite and nice when I was ordering. Food was great exactly what I was looking for, without the need to wait a few hours to get in.

Ordered baked pork buns and steamed pork buns, the taste is awesome. My new fave place for dimsum. Ordered the pork siomai which is huge for a chinese size siomai. Will definitely come back for more.

The plates are really cheap but the quality and taste are just amazing. Everything tastes great and the price point is low enough where you can easily try anything ( or everything) on the menu.
