Idy Sushi Rolls

This was a lot better sushi than I was expecting in the middle of a forest! They had really tasty tempura (veg and shrimp). Their caterpillar roll, salmon avocado roll and crunchy roll were spot on. Their beef yakisoba was plate-licking good. They also had really good plum tea.

On the other hand, the sashimi wasn't as great looking. It tasted fine but it looked a little cheap. We were also really lucky and made reservations so we had inside seating but some of the tables were picnic tables in the parking lot with no shade. I would still eat there but just FYI because sometimes people are looking for a certain vibe.

Would want to come back!

Nice setup in a very cool mountain town. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was melt in your mouth good. Definitely will be back! Try the tiger roll!

Stopped in on my vacation during my birthday, never had tried this spot before, and I had no idea that sushi actually existed up in Idyllwild on the mountain. I was very impressed, this is truly a legit sushi organization and I ordered a dragon roll that was delicious, fresh and well-made with Care. It looks like a small venue that you can literally rent out with 10 to 15 friends for any occasions. I recommend it highly!

It's a nice and cozy place to get some authentic asian food! A small cabin converted into a restaurant. It is apparently busy, but it's also the only sushi restraunt in Idy, so it's a favorite! We got the Crunch Roll and Tempura Cali Roll, which was delicious. It's right in town, making it convenient for takeout as well.

When u walk in your first reaction is to walk back out. But don’t the food is amazing for a small mountain place it’s yummy the ramen is yummy.

IDY Sushi is becoming a family tradition... my son and I will have dinner here from time-to-time, enjoying their scenery, atmoshpere, and service!

Their sushi rolls are the largest we have ever seen and delicious! They provide 8 huge rolls instead of the common 6 tiny rolls you get elsewhere.

Highly recommend trying!

A pleasant surprise to find Asian food up here. Ordered beef bento box and it was delicious with generous portion size. Staff are friendly too which is an added bonus.

This place was an awesome treat for date night we did not want to travel to one of the big cities and as we were looking around Idlewild found this little tiny hole in the wall with amazing people running it and delicious food. As we were walking up very unsure the waiter came out and greeted Us in the parking lot and welcomed us. When we became the only people inside the building they even asked us what we wanted to listen to you for music choice so I got to have a cold beer and some punk rock and sushi I will definitely be returning to this place

Tempura was nice and light, ramen was delicious as well as Udon! Fantastic little place and a great alternative to the burger joints in town!

We’re big sushi lovers, it’s almost a way of life for us. We cross travel the US twice a year. During our travels we don’t miss a chance to immerse ourselves in any sushi place ranging from upscale NYC spots to the bunnies of Tennessee where you would never think the sushi exists even remotely.

That being said, this is the place my wife and I would travel an hour one-wayfrom Palm Springs, CA at foggy, night time up to curvy mauntain roads exclusively just to indulge oursleves in these sushi creations.

If you care about sushi, ingridients in there and overall taste, this is the best sushi place in the West Coast!

The menu is very extensive and everything looks delicious. It took me a very long time to choose and think about what to order. I ended up choosing the rolls and it was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Really solid meal. Staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. Wife and I had the mixed tempura, yakisoba, and mild ramen - all 3 dishes would recommend.

Come back here again and again. The food is very fresh and tasty.

Small spot but it's nice, staff is friendly, food was excellent. Spicy garlic edamame was on point. Pictured below is tofu soon that was delicious

Highly recommended the drive tucked away on the top of a mountain in California..This Sushi place must come in December it's like a Christmas movie best fried calamari I've tasted in my 29yrs

This place was fantastic and affordable! We moved up here about 3 months ago from the city and were craving something different. So we gave this little place a try, and it has been one of the best decisions. We shared the gyoza and a crunchy roll. The service was somewhat fast. And the plate size was plenty of food for two people. The sushi was flavorful and authentic ( definitely not gas station or grocery store sushi). We left the shop bellies full and pleased. We will definitely be back hungry for more. The sashimi was very good as well. Risky getting raw fish on a mountain, i know. But it was great decision. No regrets!

This little place had 1 guy hustling for 4-5 tables & cooking everything by himself. He pulled up & gave us a lovely meal, wahooo!!! Loved the double double roll & the beef udon!!!! <3

Great food, reasonably priced. Definitely a place to stop at while in town for a visit... Absolutely loved the gyoza.

Cute little Japanese restaurant downtown Idlywild. We went there on a snowy day and ordered chicken Udon soup and vegetables Ramen soup and both were delicious. The staff was very friendly.

Consistently great food. Sushi tastes very fresh and service is always top notch.
