Southern Roots Grille

We were passing through and needed breakfast before a long drive home. The place was packed Sunday morning with a parking lot full of pick-up trucks, good clues we were likely at a good place. We had a short wait (another sign it's good chow), and then thoroughly enjoyed our western omelets, hash browns, and biscuits. I loved they used red and green peppers in the omelet, and the seasoning was perfect. The hash browns were a little different than I'm used to but super tasty. Highly recommend this casual dining eatery with a very pleasant wait staff and hostess.

Was recommended by a family member. We stopped in for breakfast a couple weeks ago as we were leaving Topsail. The food and service were great. The prices are good. We'll definitely stop by again on our next trip to Topsail.

If you want a great breakfast with some of the best biscuits stop here. All the waitresses are super friendly.

The audacity of this place to make an affordable breakfast, tastey too! The food was on point and the service was outstanding. Will have breakfast when i come bacl to town everyday most likely.

It was great. Everything and everyone was great. The server was great. She got our order right and the server who brought our food was very nice. The food was hot.

One of the 1st place visited and have been back several times. The food is so very good for those who enjoy southern dishes. Depending on staff working some are friendlier then others but all give good service. Nice area for large parties. Make sure to tip cooks!

Great service, fast time. Chicken was cooked all the way through and the sauces were amazing. The wait and kitchen staff were very attentive. Will visit again.

We love this restaurant! Good old fashioned home cooking! Great food at a great price and friendly people. It can get busy on weekends but they’ll get you seated pretty quickly. Open Thursday nights for dinner and wings! Convenient location.

Some of my family and I ate at this little restaurant for the first time today. We had passed by this place before, and thought it might be worth a try sometime. Let me just say we were very pleased with our first visit! This place has some awesome food! I'm talking delicious! The hush puppies are unbelievable! And the staff was very friendly and had answers for all of our questions. We will definitely be back to this place to eat again in the future. By the way, for my vegetarian friends, this restaurant does offer a vegetable plate. Very good food!

Nice local place . Had French toast with sausage. Pancakes were light and fluffy. The biscuits were grilled and chrispy.
Waitress was friendly and was there for whatever we needed.
