Great Albondigas soup, and always a great place to go for the past 20 years for Mexican food!

Great little Mexican restaurant just outside of town on the way to the mountains. Food was good. Salsa was great. Service was excellent. I’ll be back next time, hopefully soon!

Went here for the lunch special and got the carne asada wet burrito, OMG!!! It was so delicious and at a great price. ❤

This place is a cozy hole in the wall restaurant (used to be a home).
The service was fast, and the food was excellent. I have been searching for an authentic Mexican restaurant and finally found one (too bad it's a 3 hour drive from my home).

This is a really great restaurant with really great people. Even the chefs are way cool food was great. Had a very strange experience with another customer. He said something very rude to my wife, and the staff there was very helpful in making sure that it did not get out of control. Not sure what the guy's problem was. But I almost threw out the window. Other than that, everything else was really good.

La casita is so delicious 😋. Me and my dad drive an hour from Palm Springs to enjoy the wonderful food and the beautiful scenery. We’ve been coming here for last 4 years and always great service. Food portions are pretty big and price is great.

This was just about as good a “mountain town” restaurant as I have ever been to. Had tacos, chile relleno, and their salsa was the best (A roasted tomato, slightly spicy blend; They should sell it in jars by the case!).

I sat on the deck, just beautiful. Staff was friendly. I would definitely go back 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

The food was amazing. Some of the best enchiladas i have ever had. The food was catered for a group of us volunteers that came up to paint the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs witnesses and the owner was so wonderful to help out with this delicious large order. We live over an hour away but I would drive up to eat there again and to see the town.

Great food!! Very busy place. We ordered take out. Very little parking available. Patio dining is available and dogs are welcome there. We will definitely be back when in area

We also order food to go and they didn't put the side of beans and rice and when we went to eat our order , was disappointed. Because we really like the beans and rice with our tacos.

Excellent service and food! Meatball soup and shrimp tacos were just like home-made. Can’t wait to go hike in the area and stop here again for cold beers and fabulous food/service. Highly recommend.

This is my new favorite spot in Idyllwild! The food is great and they have the best salsa! The people their are very friendly and helpful! Sitting on the outside deck is very relaxing and pleasant! Go there, you won’t regret it!

Great employees, great food! We went last night on a Thursday $2 crispy tacos from 5pm to 7pm. I got 2 chicken and 2 shredded beef tacos. We try to go every time we come to Idyllwild.
Update: On $2 taco night it is just for eat in take out is regular price! Even if you eat in and want to buy more to take home!

Holy moly. This place is amazing. The food is spectacular. The jalapeño sauce is life changing.

The restaurant has outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Vinny offered to get them water which was a very thoughtful gesture.

Nestor, our server, was professional and courteous. He made sure we were in want for nothing.

We were eating in beautiful weather while being serenaded by a talented guitarist.

The best part was meeting the owner, Roberto. He was friendly, warm, and engaging.

This place is a must to visit if in the area.

1st time coming to this restaurant here it was very good the atmosphere is very calm relaxing and love that it's dog friendly there are dogs everywhere even when you are eating but it's not bad because they are on the floor they're not begging their being good dogs the food is delicious the waiters are attentive and friendly as well I would definitely come back here again they also have a green sauce that's very spicy but very very delicious thank you guys for a lovely visit. see you soon.

Our first time here since tasting the food at a wedding a couple of years ago. La Casita did not disappoint. I had the Chicken Taquitos. The beans and rice were on point. The hubby had a Shredded Beef Burrito and the kids had Shredded Beef Nachos and Chilaquiles with Steak. From great customer service to delicious food, all 100% awesome!!!!!! Our new go-to place to eat in Idyllwild!

It was ok. Not the Mexican food flavor that I truly wanted. Friendly service. My husband tried the green guac and jalapeno sauce, apparently that was outstanding.

Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious. Our group had taco salads, enchiladas, and a burger.

We had been to this restaurant before and weren’t impressed but we sure were yesterday! The service was great, the patio was lovely and our dishes (Chile relleno, and fish taco) were outstanding. The chips were fresh, the salsa, homemade yummy and it was a just darn good lunch.
