Idyllwild Brewpub

We stopped by for the first time for lunch at 1:30 PM on a Thursday. Not very busy, immediate attentive service, good beers, they kindly offered us samples till we found the brew we wanted. The fried avocado was a fantastic appetizer, enough to feed four.

The salmon salad could not have been better, the fish and chips were really good. The cod was thick, moist, and fresh. The french fries were fairly normal, but fine.

We absolutely cannot be happier with our meal and servers. Look forward to coming back!

Amazing view with good food and great service. For lunch plan ahead as there has always been a reasonable wait to get seated. Once you are on the list grab a beverage from the bar and take in the view which is looking out into the forest. Coming from the desert seeing greens instead of browns is always a plus.

Update 6/15: I got amazing service from Jake. One of the best waiters I’ve come across here or anywhere else in Southern California. Enjoyed their Brussels sprouts $13 - enough for 2! And an apricot sour $15

6/14/24: What can I say? I love this place up in the mountains. I was camping at the nearby Idylwild campground and it’s a 10 minute walk from there. They have some really good sours and IPAs and it’s a great atmosphere lots of people here visiting from the surrounding area, including palm desert.
The dog friendly decent although I didn’t have any food here. The staff are not as polished as you would expect in a city, but still friendly

Two words: YUM-MEEEEEEE!!! The end and period!!! The wings are delicious. Got mine dry with sauce on the side. The ranch/bleu cheese was delicious. The truffle fries were good. My dining partner LOVED the drinks. He said they have a strong poor. I wimped out and went for iced tea. He ordered the Jalapeño Popper burger. He finished half. That burger has a burger patty sized jalapeño popper on it BUT it has a cream on it which ruined the burger for him. Otherwise a 10!!! The waitress gifted us a bowl of ice cream with caramel drizzle because it was our 1st time there. Yay us!!!

Loved it. Being English I so missed vinegar on my Fries. A small detail but they offer a variety of extras. The pulled pork burger was delicious. Our server was very nice and attentive. I wish we weren't just passing through. I can imagine this is a great place to visit in the evening.

Great brewery in a beautiful location. The coachman burger was delicious and very juicy, I would highly recommend the truffle fries.

Visited from Florida with my fiance during spring and had an awesome experience. Staff was very friendly, a great beer selection, each better than the last. Such a great atmosphere and good music playing the whole time and the amazing views! Can't wait to go back!

Great beers and atmosphere, brilliant engineering with tiered decks above the pine trees for a gorgeous view while you enjoy locally crafted lagers. Only downside we experienced was the first come first serve seating found us a great spot on the dog friendly patio but the counter service employees refused to allow us to order food (even take out) to not back up the kitchen which made no sense so we either had to relocate and find a new table after we got settled in with our bags, dogs and beer or eat somewhere else.

Lovely find just off the center of town. Terrace is superior to atmosphere of any other restaurant we saw. Can recommend the fish & chips, pretzel (beer cheese dipping sauce!), Cobb salad and had a fun flight of beer tastings. The IPA was our fave by far. Attentive service.

We absolutely loved our experience. The food was all so fresh and everything tasted like it was made in house. Cannot wait to visit again in the future. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for a burger, fries, and a beer. This is a must stop when in the area. Nice covered and heated patio area. Beautiful drive up from Desert Hot Springs. Nice little town to walk around and explore.

Great place to grab a beer and some food after a mountain hike. We made the mistake of trying to eat here on a busy weekend and they said the wait for a table would be able two hours. We were determined to try them out however and came back the following day. Long story short if it's not too busy you'll love it!

This place has no business being as good as it is given its in a mountain tourist town. It’s huge and modern, everyone that works there seemed really pleasant, the beer is suspiciously legit, and the food is fantastic. My burger was huge, fresh (not cooked from frozen), cooked how I asked, and just juicy and incredible. Probably the best restaurant burger I’ve ever had.

Dog friendly brewery is always a plus for me. They have a huge pup patty on the menu and the human food is amazing. I had the nachos and hubs had fish and chips. Beer was great and really liked the cocktails.

Delicious Scottish beer. Amazing crab cake salad and exceptional pub pretzel.

The beer was a little flat but it tasted okay. I'd recommend it based on the food and the view from the stool/outdoor seats.

If I could give 10 stars, I would, twice. This was a perfect restaurant experience.

We arrived around noon on Valentine's Day. There were only a few patrons, so the host let it pick our table. The views of the forest were stunning.

Within a minute, water was brought to the table, and within another minute, our server Jake appeared. Jake was very friendly with fantastic eye contact.. We ordered a glass of wine and a flight of beer. Jake must be a moonlighting magician because it seemed like he turned around and our drinks appeared.

We ordered a burger and the fish and chips. Again, the food came so quickly that we were amazed. The burger was sheer perfection. The patty was huge and looked handmade, with bacon jam and shoestring onion rings. We ordered it medium-rare, and it actually came medium rare!

The fish and chips were the best we've ever had. Flaky batter, not greasy, with HUGE, soft, moist pieces of fish.

Jake was fantastic, the food was fantastic, the view was fantastic. This place couldn't be any better..

Oh, and the truffle fries. I could smell the garlic and truffle sauce 3 tables away. They were smothered in Parmigiano cheese. Some of the best we've ever had.

We had the best roasted Brussel sprouts at the Brewpub! They weren’t drowning in balsamic but instead lightly glazed and also had fresh cherry tomatoes with them. The beers are always good but the sprouts were a great bonus!

I loved it! The beer is amazing ! I highly recommend the pulled pork nachos! The view is gorgeous!

Stopped in for a couple beers and some lunch! It was a cool place and we’re glad we did! It was crowded but probably because it’s the first nice weekend we’ve had in awhile so everyone was out and about! The SDS Final Four game was on as well! We sat at the bar but the patio had ample seating and the area also had heaters which was a major plus when it gets cold! The food and beer were good! Service was great. Our bartenders made sure we were totally happy and checked on us frequently! Next time we’re up there, we’ll certainly stop again! Thanks guys!
