We worked with Rick to cater a party of about 30 people. He was very easy to work with, he returned an email almost immediately by phone call, he was personable and had great insights and recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing and fairly priced. I highly recommend Mindy K’s for their great customer service and awesome food!

Rick at Mindy k’s put together a beautiful brunch for my daughter’s bridal shower on Sunday. From hors d’oeuvres to dessert, everything was amazing! His servers were phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure that every need was met! The food was to die for, and the compliments from the guests are still coming in. The best part was that as the hostess, I didn’t have to worry about anything. Every detail was handled, down to the carafes for the Mimosa bar. I am beyond grateful to Rick for making my daughter’s bridal shower a day that she will never forget. I assure you that we will be using him again and again for any and all catering events. It was a pleasure.

What a menu! Excellent breakfast. Owner was very nice and even comped our coffee because we forgot to pay for it and there's a minimum on debit card purchases. Only had the breakfast here but can't wait to come back and try the sandwiches, wraps, they even have an Asian menu.

What a hidden gem! The Pad Thai was just the right spiciness. The wonton soup was terrific, and the fried rice was nice and hot and flavorful. I will be back to try the gator tacos!

A staple of Old Saybrook, Mindy K’s is an unassuming eatery that serves up consistently fine food of a variety of cuisines: American breakfast fare, unique lunch wraps, authentic Thai cuisine (I lived in Thailand; this IS the real deal)—including homemade curries—Tex-Mex favorites, and more. I’ve never been disappointed by Mindy K’s. Some of my favorite things from the menu are: Western Omelette, Twin Crispy Tacos, Beef Taco Wrap, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and ALL of the Thai Curries. A local gem, conceived, owned, and operated by a local Thai family for two decades, now in the very capable hands of an Old Saybrook resident with an expansive career in the food and restaurant industry. Rick introduced his own interpretation of Thai Green Curry, which is spot-on! Service remains stellar. As well, he has incorporated his own Tom Yum into the menu: it is thick, spicy, boldly flavorful, and creamy...Thai perfection! To boot, he has—hands-down—the very best pho I have ever found in CT, both along the Shoreline, as well as in Hartford. Other awesome Asian additions of Chef Rick include wonton soup, Udon with perfectly cooked noodles and crunchy bok choy (this one is totally unique to our area) and Mexican fare such as Chilaquiles and Tinga—both home runs! Now, Mindy's also has the best brunch going in town: I was in this morning and, for $14.95, there was a huge spread: scrambled eggs, home fries, link sausage, bacon, Asian fried rice with chicken, cavatelli pomodoro, chicken Parmesan, salad, fruit, muffins and bagels,, and it even included a drink! What a way to start a Sunday! It’s always a good idea to call your order in; it will be ready by the time you get there. Mindy’s is in good hands, and the legacy will live on!

My husband and I are regulars when it comes to their wraps and recently had catering done for our baby shower. The food was phenomenal!!! Everyone kept asking where it was from and leftovers were scarce!

Rick the owner truly loves what he does and you can hear it in his voice and taste it in his cooking.

Communication leading up to the event was consistent and took a lot off of my plate being 8 months pregnant. I’ll definitely be using his services again in the future! Thank you Rick and staff!

I've been a customer for years. Since Rick took over, I noticed the quality of the food has become amazing. He has changed the spices in the Pho noodle soup so now instead of tasting like laundry water, it is absolutely delicious. A must try!!!

Really love the huge menu so everyday I can try something different. But my favorite are the Korean Nachos!

I work very close to the deli so I tend to go often. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing and the prices are very fair. If you haven’t been here before your missing out.

5 stars! Not only does Mindy K's have amazing food, every single person here was so so so nice! My parents' car broke down today at the beginning of their road trip, and they were essentially stranded until I was able to pick them up. Thank goodness they got dropped off at Mindy K's! Rick, the Owner/Chef, took such good care of them. He turned their experience waiting for their car to be fixed, which would typically have been really tough, into an awesome one. They had a delicious breakfast (pancakes, eggs, excellent coffee, and incredible sausage) and then a super good lunch (chicken cordon bleu sandwich). When I finally arrived, we had the BBQ pork and shrimp summer rolls - SO good. Any other restaurant could have tried to tactfully push my parents out since they needed a place to stay for such a long while, but Rick and his staff were nothing like that - they were warm, welcoming, friendly, and the food was great! Thank you guys again! I will be back, and I highly recommend to anyone!

Since leaving NJ I have been looking for a good deli with fresh food. Mindy k is absolutely it. Even during the lunch rush the food was made to perfection. It was so nice to see an owner and staff that care not just about quality and flavors, but about guests opinions and happiness. They deserve 5 stars for creativity alone. Will be returning again and often.

My son was married at Waters Edge and we wanted to do a breakfast the morning of the wedding for the bride/bridesmaids and groomsmen. Rick @Mindy Ks came highly recommended. Very kind and easy to talk too. Rick provided avocado toast, bagels, fruit, bacon egg and cheese sandwiches sausage egg and cheese sandwiches, ham, egg and cheese sandwiches, fruit parfaits, Hot coffee and iced coffees. He did an amazing job and delivered it to us at Waters Edge the morning of the wedding.

Rick makes sure the customer is satisfied even delivering a new meal when an error occurs. The food is authentic and well prepared.

Casual cafe. Had the Bun Mi sandwich on sub roll. A very flavorful combination of fresh vegetables, pork and a spicy Thai sauce. Delicious, unusual and exotic. The friendly staff helped me pick from a variety of promising choices. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Always loved this place. Take note that it is cash only so be prepared it you usually only use cards like me. But there is an ATM in there which is helpful. The shrimp summer rolls and the turkey cranberry sandwich are my favorites. And the fries. Definately get some. THE BEST FRIES EVER. And I'm not a big lover of fries, but I will eat these. Generous portions and the ladies in there are always super friendly.

Rick just catered my seventieth birthday party for 60 people. The food was fantastic and he was wonderful to deal with. We highly recommend his services!

I have to add a disclaimer, I work nearby and come here often. I usually have one of the specials or the Asian style options. They are consistently delicious. The staff is friendly, and the service is fast. The MK noodle bowl salad and Vietnamese crepe are my favorites.
