Stopped to eat lunch here on our way to Estes Park. It's a nice kid friendly establishment that is decorated in a rustic style. I had the patty melt, which was tasty, but the sourdough was a little over-toasted. Still very tasty and worth a stop. I enjoyed the use of railroad ties in the building's decor. Very cool building. Very friendly staff. The brown ale was very refreshing and I would highly recommend it.

Classic steakhouse with dark wood atmosphere. Great steaks and sides among other options. Not fancy but authentic. Lived up to my expectations. Priced right.

The "Charco Broiler" is a breath of fresh air in the crowded Fort Collins restaurant scene. It was a great time, and has great food.

I ordered the Hickory Burger with fries (pictured below) and oh boy, that was great! Perfectly cooked, I couldn't find anything wrong with my dish if I tried.

Our service was quick and our waitress was very kind. No complaints here, just great.

The atmosphere was good for what it was, and while they could've decorated and added more ambience it would not impact our experience much.

Overall, the "Charco Broiler" was a great time and if you want a quick tasty experience pop on by. You won't regret it!

This was our first time here. It was a really cool experience from the staff the food and the ambiance. We stopped in the afternoon as to beat a rush for dinner. It is a decently sized building with a lot of seating and a bar. Cheryl was our waitress and was very nice and helpful with explaining some of our food we had ordered. We ordered quit a few items being we wanted to try a variety of the menu for a review. We were doing a vlog today and thought, let's go somewhere we haven't been. Glad we stopped. We will be back.

This place is beyond amazing. Established 1957, and it is huge like a hidden building, with so much space!
Service was a little slow but the server Lee is the bar tender cum server, forgiven! He is extra friendly to everyone.
Will definitely be back to explore more on the menu

Husband and I are here for dinner. Our server was Rosie. She is one of the best. Very friendly and attentive. We both had burgers. They have gluten free options for many of the menu items. Recommend highly.

I've been coming here for over 50 years and it's still a great place for a great, simple meal. If you're looking for steaks they're hard to beat. I love the Chex cereal in the salads too!

Awesome restaurant with a great throwback feel, it's like a time capsule from the 70's. The place has all kinds of different rooms and feels warm and inviting. We were pulling a 38' fifth wheel and there was plently of parking towards the back. The service team members were all very friendly and the place was very clean. The chicken fried steak was fantastic. The rest of the family got either steak and or burgers. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will absolutely make this place a stop in the future. You will not be disappointed.

Mellow and ambient atmosphere. Great steak cooked to perfection with delicious gourmet mashed potatoes as my favorite side. Not to mention friendly and attentive staff.

Even near close on latest visit, staff was friendly and accommodating as we joined friends after umpiring all day that already ordered as we were a bit later for snack and drink.

Their cream pies are to die for peanut butter & banana cream especially!

Food was amazing! Our server was super busy that night and had a million other tables but took the time to make sure we knew what the good eats were being that it was my first time there!

Call it old-school, call it retro, call it throwback, whatever it is, they simply don't make restaurants like this anymore. I'm almost shy to review it because it's obviously a locals favorite and they probably don't need a bunch of hipsters hanging around. From the nice bourbon pour to the salad with chex croutons to the perfectly prepared steak that was bursting with flavor, everything was delicious. The baked potato came out too hot to eat, as it should, and the steak was perfectly medium rare with a nice sear. Wish I had room for dessert, but maybe next time. Glad places like this survived the lockdowns.

This hometown restaurant lets you walk into another time in the history of Fort Collins with historic farm and ranch decor, super friendly and attentive staff and always yummy food. Basic stuff that never fails with a great burger menu, salads, and a variety of tasty comfort food meals. And PIE! Save room for the pie or take a piece with you for later or stop in just for the pie. Weekend breakfast with omelettes, blueberry pancakes, and many combinations of items is the best kept breakfast secret in Fort Collins. Lots of people? Call ahead and they'll push some tables together. There is even a bar you can sit at with friends.

Waitress joked that the cook had to get a new cow but the steak was fantastic and the burger was delicious. Sweet potato fries 😋 so good 😊 and baked potato quite yummy. Slow food that was worth waiting for.

Been eating here for decades - place hasn't changed at all.
That plow on the wall when you walk in has been there since the 70's (at least).
Still very good French Onion Soup and the best Pepper Steak around.

Love it here on every level, I go all the time and will continue too. Great service and atmosphere, reminds me of what Colorado used to be. Mostly an older and more mature crowd which is nice, always peaceful and relaxed with nothing loud and obnoxious. Can't wait to burn more of my paychecks here.

This is one of Fort Collins' hidden gems. It's been here forever, since at least the 70's and probably longer.
Today me and my mother went for lunch. I had the Holy Guacamole burger and it was to die for. Juicy meat cooked the way you want it, and just the right amount of peppery goodness. Mom had the Sirloin tips, served with buttered noodles and sour cream, and loved it. The "Perfect Margarita" lived up to its name -- nicely salted glass and just the right amount of kick. For dessert I had a slice of banana cream pie that was gigantic, and just plain indulgent.
Special shout-out to our server, Cheryl, who was attentive and had a down-home friendly personality.
If you want to truly support local business, skip College and head out Mulberry. There's a reason this place has been here so long.
