Crab Pot

Oooohhhh my!!!!! Down south there's a saying when something is absolutely delicious..."slap your mama good". I have experienced it now!!! Sorry mom, better duck!!!

The outside was cute and provided seating for waiting customers. They're was a bar with music and plenty of dancing room. Inside, had an eclectic beachy vibe. There's are funny little signs everywhere, including the bathroom doors.

Now to the good stuff and boy was it good! The service and food were OVER THETOP. The staff was so friendly, attentive and even suggested items on the menu since we were new. The mixed drinks was very good and not overly strong but not too weak. Mom had the frozen margarita and I had the peached whale. Yum!!

There were 4 of us so we got 2 frogmore stews (crab pots) for 2. It was $75 for each stew but had a surprising amount of goodies in it. If you think about it, $37.50 for each person for all that seafood, it's not bad process at all. There was 2 big clusters of crab (not tiny legs either!), oysters, clams, shrimp, andoulle sausage, red potatoes and corn cobs. Everything was cooked to perfection. Each item had it's own flavor identity. The corn was sweet. The shrimp was buttery with that old bay touch. The sausage... no words...I'm telling you, it was to die for! This was the best meal I've had in years! It doesn't get any fresher than this since the seafood market, which brings the catch on daily, is on the property. We will definitely be back to this gem!!

We came on Sunday for brunch and although they were busy with a full restaurant and bar, Calvin and Sam both made sure everyone had delicious plates and full drinks. Highly recommend the sunset mimosa craft and bloody Mary’s! Cheers!

Definitely a very “beachy” feel, and the food was good for what we ordered. A bit pricey based on what we ordered, but nothing to be super upset about. Did take a bit longer than anticipated to get our drinks, and our appetizer. Have been before and had a better experience, so not writing this place off just yet.

Amazing service and food was phenomenal, I’m not sure why previous reviews were bad and it made me nervous, but this place is so amazing. It is a little pricey, but their seafood is so fresh! An amazing experience all together! Sara was an amazing server and she made sure everything was perfect but wasn’t overbearing, we loved her!

Everytime we vacation in Topsail, we try to make this one of our stops. I love the atmosphere here and the service. Tonight was no different! Sam was our waitress and she was friendly and attentive. She checked on us several times and kept our drinks full! The food was good and so were the peach margaritas!! If you like dive style seafood joints, definitely add this place to your list!

First let me mentioned we were party of nine. We had a great time here! Food was fantastic. Service was great. The only thing I would recommend is they need to fix their seating. The seating they have is just not comfortable. But this was absolutely the best restaurant we went to during our week vacation at
topsail Beach.

100% don’t listen to negative reviews!!!!!!! We came in (party of 3) 6:45pm -thurs. Seated right away. Nice breeze. Drinks on point. Our waitress was also the bartender. Kudos to her!!! Wait for food wasn’t bad at all. But we also went KNOWING it may be a bit before we get food so don’t be in a hurry!!! But the food was 100% worth it. We had crab balls for appetizers- so good!!!
We had a make your own steamer pot for dinner for two of us. Did two clusters of Dungeness crab, pound of mussels, 2 pounds shrimp and two orders of the corn/potatoes/sausage. AMAZING. Best damn mussels we have ever had!!!! Everything is seasoned fantastically and food, service, drinks was legit 💯. Don’t sleep on this place!!! Well worth it!

Cool spot for some of the freshest seafood. It sits in front of the seafood market and has a fun vibe. The food came out super hot and fresh and the server was amazing.

This is a great spot for some good seafood and a cold drink. I enjoyed the build your own with clusters of snow crab, steamed shrimp with seasoning, slaw and fries. We also had some yummy hush puppies. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Our server and the bar tender were both attentive and friendly and we really enjoyed our early dinner. This is a small spot and "nothing fancy" but it's a great place. You truly can't get any fresher as the fish market complete with docked shrimp boats share the parking lot.

Definitely enjoyed the food our party if 12 ordered. Yes there is no AC but the fans did a good job keeping us comfortable. The fried items, shrimp, fish, clams, oysters, calamari and scallops were lightly breaded and fried crispy, not greasy and still juicy. Even the fried zucchini, sweet potatoes, and regular fries were tasty and crisp! Baked items cooked just right and seasoned wonderful. All the food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. The appetizers were worth the money and in some cases way to big to finish. Our server was an friendly college student who always made sure we had enough drinks and checked on us just at the right times. Yes they did add a 15% tip to all our orders but she definitely deserved every $ and more!
Some people say they had a bad experience here.... We did not. Well worth the & we spent and the 25mins we waited t9 be seated. If you near Topsail Island/Surf City check this place out.

Do Not listen to the bad reviews here. This place is right next to a seafood market and the fish is fresh and well seasoned and flavorful. We got a bunch of delicious food for fair and reasonable pricing. Wait staff was friendly. Wait times were normal. Highly recommended. Here's some photos of what we got. You can't go wrong with the crab cakes or clams, calamari was out of this world so we got a second order of it, crab fries were another great shared app, snow crabs were juicy and delicious, and the shrimps were fresh and mouth-watering good. The whole atmosphere is playing off the fact that we are right by the sea. There are benches and ceiling fans and cute beachy feel to the place with indoor or outdoor seating available. Definitely worth a visit!

I'll start by saying this is a very casual island/beach style seafood place. They put money into the food and service and not the building, so don't expect a fancy setting.

My family and I always eat here at least once during our trip. The seafood is always fresh and the service good. Our 2024 visit was with a party of 9. We had a bit of a wait but sat at the bar with live music. Calvin was tending and waiting on the tables in this area. He was awesome! We sat out front on the patio where Calvin continued to wait on us. We ordered a mix of seafood and burgers. Everything came out at the same time. The food was hot, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The crab legs were a highlight along with the blacked scallops. The fried shrimp, mahi, and grouper were also very good. Every plate was empty! With picky teenage girls, that rarely happens! High recommend if you want fresh seafood!

From the woman who greeted us and made sure that we got seated at a low table to comfortably accommodate one of our party to the waitress who took time to answer all of our questions, to the bar tender who assisted in cleaning up a drink we spilled the whole service team was great. As for the food we ordered calamari, grouper, flounder, scallops and king crab. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Food was fresh and well cooked. Live music started at 6 and the musician was very good and did songs our whole group knew. We will definitely be back!

Good food. Our sever Will was super sweet and checked on us plenty. For sure a popular place so every table was packed so you’ll be waiting a little bit but it wasn’t bad. For sure more expensive then expected but we left very full.

I love this place, and everyone who visits Topsail should go here and enjoy the experience. If a restaurant is as busy as they are every time I’ve been it always means it is worth the wait. The staff is very nice, and the owner is the nicest woman I’ve ever met. The food was incredible, fresh, and some of the best seafood I’ve ever had.

The place is a hidden gem in Topsail Beach! The relaxed atmosphere is exactly what's expected when on the coast and the food is excellent...hands down the BEST SCALLOPS I've ever had on the island. I highly recommend stopping here if you want the best Topsail Island experience.

Perfect night out..,food,menu options ,service 100%, atmosphere. One of the best dining out experiences ever.You want regret it.We will be back soon and often.

Great delicious affordable food & awesome atmosphere 💫🤝🏻🎶🕉. I’m thinking of moving to the area in a few years and I’ll definitely be going here a lot 😎 there’s a great seafood market in the same area that you can get some good quality grub from! There’s also a beautiful park to relax and walk around after you’re done eating or while you wait. They also have a lot of unique interesting choices on their menu and their drinks are really good.🔥

I haven't eaten there in years. Went tonight to hear the band. Had dinner first. Asked recommendations from my server, she highly recommended the Blackened Mahi & Blackened Scallops. Absolutely the best I've ever eaten! Born and raised here! Will be going back, SOON!
