Splash by the Sea

Splash by the Sea was by far our most enjoyable place to eat this summer. This was the first time we were here, and we have been vacationing at Topsail since 2007. We will most definitely be back, hopefully when it's a little brighter outside so we can admire the ocean views. We were there when it was dark, but it was still lovely on the patio! Ryan, our server was great, he went above and beyond to provide the best hospitality on the island the week we were there!

Free parking across the street. If it’s raining there will be large puddles to get to your car! Nice restaurant with good food and excellent service. Crab dip was a good portion and very tasty. The short ribs were on special and served beautifully and very delicious. Cobb salad is large and was served without dressing but we asked for ranch. Decent wine selection and lime pie was satisfying. Creations available for your creativity!!!!

Brought the family to dinner here a couple of times this week while in North Topsail. Food is really good - had the salmon (and split it with my wife who ordered crab cakes). Both very good entrees. Came earlier in the week when they had live music, which was fun. The outdoor dining is really nice as well. Plan to wait for a table - 90 minutes usually for dinner. But try the cookie skillet while you’re here. It’s very good.

Our meal here was absolutely outstanding! Blink and you’ll miss it, it’s in a condo complex and the sign is across the street so it’s a little hard to see. But don’t miss it - The food and the service were absolutely outstanding! The ahi tuna nachos were amazing, and we all ordered the fish of the day and loved it. The seafood pot is also particularly good with steamed crab, corn and potatoes. John was our waiter and he took really good care of us, even our somewhat picky children! Atmosphere is gorgeous. We had a party of eight, and they don’t take reservations so if you have a bigger party I recommend getting there around 5 PM - once you hit 6 PM the place was hopping!!

What a lovely place! Bartender was nice and efficient and very friendly. We were seated within our quoted time and our server, Mark, did an amazing job! The food was excellent and served in a timely manner. Definitely worth the time to go!

Amazing spot to visit for some good eats! We are staying in Airbnb in the area and our host recommended! Glad we came to visit, our waitress Keri was wonderful! Gave us a run down of the menu and even of a few of her favorite items, which was super helpful! We have a gluten allergy in the family and they had lots of gluten free options which was nice to have. The inside can get a little loud but that is to be expected during prime dinner time and in a fully open dinning area. Would highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and also the gorgeous view!

My wife and I tried this for dinner, since it’s April we had the place to ourselves and it was so nice. My wife got the Tuna and I got the Tuna tacos with waffle fries and both were delicious. We also ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer and enjoyed those. The staff were friendly and ensured we enjoyed our meal, I would recommend giving them a try.

Located behind the condominium with the Tuscan aesthetic is a cute restaurant overlooking the distant horizon. Allow the pastels and presentation to escape life for but a moment as you feel the freedom that comes with life by the beach. The food is great, well-priced, and above all filling. The service was top-notch, attentive, and with a smile. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. And the drinks were fantastic.

Come here after a tired day by the beach.

Stumbled across this place while staying in north topsail and was obsessed. We went for lunch and loved it so much went back for dinner the same day. There was a longer wait for dinner so I recommend going at 5:30 but you can get drinks and appetizers while you wait so we didn’t mind at all, the staff also kept coming and checking on us and updating us with the wait time. I loved this place & would definitely recommend for anyone in town!

This is worth the drive to North Topsail. We come here every year for our “fancy” meal. We came for lunch this year and sat poolside with oceanside views. This restaurant transports you a Florida resort vibe in a very fun way. The food is high quality and delicious. They happily accommodated a party of six. The restaurant is so great I’m tempted to stay here as well. Highly recommend for a poolside lunch or dinner. So cute and fun.

Came here last Sunday evening. Had a phenomenal waitress and such a lovely evening. The staff was very friendly, helpful and personable. I ended up getting the pizza with 4 meats and 4 cheeses. Absolutely amazing. The cookie dessert was perfect for 2.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations! The food was phenomenal, we got the tuna tacos, shrimp tacos, and the chicken tacos along with the crab dip! It was genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life! Our server was absolutely amazing, she was so kind and it honestly felt like we had known her for years! It’s a gorgeous place to eat, and we will definitely be coming back!

Can't rate this place high enough. This bar & restaurant was awesome !!!! The bartenders were excellent, friendly & beautiful. The hostess & service was all top notch. It's like hometown in a bottle of Hallmark. Excellent ocean views of course. Food was delicious, prices were fair, community was pleasant & relaxing & fun. I ate & drank here 3 days of my 3 day trip & bever wanted to leave. I even bought a shirt !

We chose Splash as our dinner reception site for our wedding. Toni and Clarissa worked with us to help create the perfect buffet menu. We were able to have live music in our banquet room and they set up the seating perfect for our group. The wait staff that night was phenomenal and food turned out delicious. After our wedding, we stayed at the Villa Capriani where we were able to see the staff again and were treated like celebrities the rest of the week whenever we grabbed a drink or anything else. The flexibility we had and options that allowed us to have every detail included made it such a wonderful experience!

This place was great. It’s right on the ocean. Food types were varied and they offered an extensive menu.

We had a group of 17 (they don’t reservations), but they were able to get us in quickly.

The service from their staff was excellent. Cheri kept 17 adults and kids entertained, hydrated and well-fed. She didn’t a single glass go empty.

All the food was good. The ahi tuna needed more seasoning/sauce. My wife’s salmon was excellent.

We stayed at the Villa and tried the restaurant our last night. It was absolutely delicious. We had a couple of their specialty cocktails that were very good, and the ceviche was to die for. We had a large party and everyone’s food was fantastic. Our ticket did get mixed up, but the staff were all very kind and kept us updated and comfortable while we waited - and even with the confusion it really wasn’t that long of a wait. Lots of stuff to keep kids entertained. Overall fantastic experience!

Feel like I'm in the Caribbean. Awesome atmosphere and fantastic food. The best Shrimp and Grits and Keylime Pie ever. Abigail was fabulous, personable, and knowledgeable.

Pretty blown away, this place is so good. Only an hour wait on a Monday night prime-time when lots of other places are closed, we were quickly able to sit at the bar and bypass the wait. The service was above average (super cool) and the pizza and crab dip were fantastic. I would easily wait for an hour next time, this is now my favorite place in the area.

Great food and even better service!! Can’t say enough great things about this place!

We had an amazing dinner here. Tara was our waitress and she was phenomenal. We got the steam pot and everything in it was simply divine. Our entire group was very happy with their meal and my daughter’s pizza was perfection!
