Shoals Fly Fishing and Light Tackle

Peter took us out for a full day trip. I have been on a lot of fishing trips but this one was the best I have ever been on. Not only did we catch fish all day but the views around the Wentworth Marina were amazing. Peter is knowledgeable, friendly, and knows where to find fish. He also allowed us to switch between Fly Fishing and bait fishing any time we wanted to try something new. I would highly recommend booking. It is worth every penny.

Captain Whelan is 'the man' when it comes to Coastal Saltwater Fishing in New Hampshire and Maine - he has been doing this a long time, he knows the patterns and places the fish follow from many years of guiding local waters - key to any guide service. He had me onto fish in the first few minutes and it became my challenge to place my cast close enough to busting fish to connect - it's not easy fly fishing for Striped Bass. And no matter, if the fly rod is too difficult, you can switch over to live bait on light tackle and aim for the big fish! Highly Recommended and well respected in the local fishing community. Boat is based in a beautiful marina on one of the most beautiful coastal spots in NH.

If you want to go fishing on the New Hampshire/Maine coast, this guy is the most experienced, detail oriented, knowledgable captain around.

I went with two other people in the heart of striper season in July and we we did some fly flyfishing around the coast lines, and some live bait fishing around the shoals islands. We were catching everything from 20-55 inch monster stripers all morning with no break.

The whole area is stunning, and the ship was perfect for open ocean and coastal areas alike. One of the best days of fishing we have ever had. The only guy I would ever book in the area.

We are going back this year for some Tuna too!
