Delightful experience. The food was good and the service was awesome!The picture is of the restaurant's owner, Buka. This is her first restaurant, and she's doing a great job. I recommend stopping in for a bite and saying "hi!". Help support local businesses, like Buka's!

Our latest time there was as good (or better) than the last. You are missing something if you don't go! Oh, did I mention that many days, if they can (not every day sometimes, due to heavy business and not being able to stop right on time) they play the Star Spangled Banner at noon?!! If you are there at noon let them know you heard about it and you are looking forward to hearing it! I bet they would make an effort to make sure to do it if they knew you wanted to hear it. I think sometimes we don't encourage people enough to show their pride in living in the greatest country on earth! Let them know you appreciate their patriotism! Love you Buka!

The food is awesome! I had the Fairgrounds Burger, fries (coated and seasoned) and homemade chicken and dumpling soup. The service is top notch! Can't wait to go back.

Visitor to the Springfield area for a surgery for my Dad. Looked on line and found this place. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice.
The service was quick and VERY friendly.
The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. But the food took center stage. We had breakfast and the quality of the food was excellent. It came out as ordered and HOT. Please come and they will earn your business. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Exactly what you would expect from a small town cafe. Clean, good and friendly staff, and really good food. Had the crab cake eggs benedict. It was excellent! Perfect poached eggs, very tender and tasty crab cake and perfectly done hash browns.

This place-what a gem!! The food is amazing. The staff are amazing. It's a cute place. Kept very clean. I had literally NO complaints. This is a MUST TRY!!! We will definitely be back!!

As a tourist passing through its hard to know a good place to eat but took a chance with Fairgrounds Cafe and they did not disappoint. Food was good and service was fast and polite. Highly recommend if you're passing through Springfield Illinois.

The owner did an incredible job refurbishing this old building. Very nice modern touch and so clean! Everything seems to run very efficiently, the owner comes to say hello. Every time we come in, the staff are all incredibly nice and best of all the food is delicious! We go for breakfast and lunch and have always had a great experience. I only wish there was more parking!

Our first visit for breakfast. My wife had a veggie omelette with a fruit cup and raisin toast. It was large, light, and fluffy; she said it is the best omelette she's ever eaten. I had the corned beef hash with eagy over easy and two pancakes. I asked for the hash to be crisp, and it was. The eggs were perfect, and the pancakes were light and fluffy -- hand down the best in springfield. Our server was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and we even left a tip for the cook. The restaurant is light and airy and spotless. Well definitely be back. I want to try the tenderloin sandwich. An A+ experience.

The Fairgrounds Skillet with eggs, hash brown potatoes and a mix of bacon, sausage, and ham was very good.

It was our first time here and Awesome service!! Our waitress Melody was AMAZING! The food was AMAZING and NICE portions! Everything food, service, and atmosphere was FANTASTIC!! Definitely going back!

Biscuits and gravy and sausage links was awesome. Egg omelette with cheese ham was so fluffy pancakes melted in your mouth. Awesome food great service will most definitely be going back.

The food was great and service surprisingly very fast, especially for a Sunday morning. The staff was friendly, kept checking on us, and kept our drinks filled. We'll be back when we're back in town.

Looks like they just remodeled, the seating is comfortable and it's very clean. The service was great, food was good and quick, and there are lots of food options.
