Boathouse Fish Camp

Great place for dinner in Cross Hill. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We're staying at an RV resort nearby and saw this place going through town. Really glad we stopped in. Food was served hot and delicious. I had the Deviled Crab. Nice outer crust and moist crabmeat inside. Potato Salad was also excellent. There are so many dishes on the menu it was hard to choose. Wish we had more time here to try them all. My wife has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease and can't have gluten. Although they don't have a gluten free menu she was able to find many items on the menu that didn't include Gluten.
All the wait staff were working hard to ensure everyone had a great dining experience. Checked on us multiple times. The restaurant was ultra clean and the table with condiments and drinks were spotless. Wish every restaurant took this lesson on cleanliness.
Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and we gave our name when ordering but they brought the food to our table as with the rest of the diners. They also cleared our table when we finished. It was a wonderful experience and we'll be back when we come this way again.
I'm posting a picture of the menu since I was unable to find it anywhere. Don't get upset with me or the management of this resturant if items or prices have changed by the time you visit. The world is full of changes and nothing on the internet is real. Enjoy!

The Boathouse Fish Camp is a diamond in the rough. The food is delicious, not a single complaint. The sweet tea was great and just makes the whole meal taste better. You’ve got to give it a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Food is amazing and staff is friendly and inviting. We have moved to the other side of the lake and still drive almost 45 min to come here often. Great place and prices are very reasonably priced!

Food is delicious. We have ate there twice now and tried several different things. Have not had one thing that we wouldn't order again.

We've eaten here many times and the food is always great. Not greasy and large portions. Everything is made fresh daily. The staff and owner are very friendly and care about the quality of food. Highly recommend.

We're from Columbia (my wife and I) and visited the restaurant. The food was out of this world delicious and I suggested they do away with ketchup cause it the food was so delicious! Highly recommend you give it a try!!! Simply a must!

Much much better than the dump that this place replaced. I didn't go in here for years because what was here before was so bad. I guess I had a little "battered wife syndrome". They have cleaned the place up and completely renovated it and seem to really care. Generous portions try it you won't be disappointed.

First time there. It was great. The decorations was really nice also. Very friendly. I had oysters and fried green tomatoes...enjoyed both. Will be back .

Great food, decent prices. Nice staff. We had a great time...well as much as 3 kids under 5 will allow haha. The staff engaged my kids, took the time to listen as they told the tales kids tell. When I say decent prices, I mean 2 adults and 3 kids for $40 and change plus tip. Not bad at all. We will be back for sure.

The Boathouse has a farmhouse setting with a splash of the lake added in. The decor is up to date and very unique. The railings on the porch are in the shape of boat paddles, so cute. Their signage is in the shape of smaller boat paddles. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is very good. The flounder is solid white meat with crispy breading on the outside. The baked potatoes were fresh and hot. And let's not forget the sweet tea; sweetened just right. My cup I think had a hole in it. 🤭 The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did. P.S. They have a dessert of the day, our day was Peanut Butter Pie. I didn't try it but it looked amazing.

We had dinner there tonight for the first time. It was an amazing dining experience! Food was cooked to order, fresh, hot, delicious, and great quantity and quality! All staff members were very friendly and polite. We will definitely be returning again with friends!

Have ate here several times to take dinner and it is always a clean fun environment. Love all the nostalgia hanging all over the place and of course the pizza pies and other food are the best around. Keep up the great food!!

For my first of many trips there, I was treated to some excellent seafood as well as the sides of fries and macaroni. The staff are extremely kind people! Please go by and try some of their excellent food!!! These are good people here and they treat their customers great!
