Staff here is always amazing!! Love the ice cream it’s phenomenal. Great flavors too. I literally drive the 25 minutes to get here ! Even if you order on Uber the ice cream isn’t melted because the pack is so great!

Went with classic coffee and chocolate. Very yum. The two scoops is great value but difficult to finish tbh. The staff was very welcoming and sweet.

First let me say I am so happy I live 4 minutes from this place… second let me say I’m so sad I live 4 minutes from this place. Darn it. It’s so good. Tried the monkey business and the piece of cake flavored ice creams. Delicious. Also grabbed the Oreo Xtreme milkshake for my son. Definitely recommend. Looked like they had a good selection of vegan ice cream.

This is by far my favorite ice creamery around. They are a tad more expensive but so so so worth it. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. They've never got a single order wrong, I've tried almost all the ice creams and all are really good I see the quality. So even if a bit higher in price you won't lose my business

The ice cream is delicious and there are plenty of flavors to choose from. The staff was friendly and professional. Looking forward to our next visit. Because it is the best ice cream shop in Pittsburgh 🥇

The absolute best Cookies and Cream flavor in town! Their home made cones also taste delicious (I think they are flavored with cinnamon sugar) and it makes the shop smell amazing.

My baby has a milk protein intolerance, which for me means no dairy…I’ve been struggling to fulfill my sweets craving since cutting dairy and last night I stumbled upon the Vegan PB Oreo flavor at FRIO and was blown away by how good it was. I honestly almost gave it to my husband because I just couldn’t believe it wasn’t the real deal. Totally impressed.

The vibe and atmosphere are weird. The lighting is an odd spectrum and the colors are jarring. It's not flattering for the business tbh. No tables/chairs.

FRIO Creamery always has options that are gluten free AND dairy free which is great for folks with allergies! The gf/dairy free flavors are creamy, flavorful, and don't feel like an afterthought - you can tell they put as much effort into those flavors as they do any others! I have tried several different varieties of ice cream here, both gf/dairy free and standard, and have never been disappointed. The staff is also extremely friendly!

Vegan pistachio ice cream was some of the best pistachio I've ever had,vegan or not! And the staff was exceptionally friendly. We'll certainly be back on visits to Pittsburg!

So delicious!! I’m a huge fan of hand dipped ice cream and a chocolate lover, so the death by chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone is my go-to! A perfect treat!!

I LOVE this place. I order from here at least 3 times a week. They have the best ice cream hands down, and the staff is so friendly there. They are super accommodating to your needs, and the shop is super cute. Anytime one of my out of town friends visits, Frio Creamery is a MUST. 11/10 recommend.

Excellent ice cream, and the waffle cone (slightly thinner and crunchier than normal) was *delicious*. Simple order: chocolate ice cream on a waffle cone, but easily the best I've had in a while.

This is my favorite desert shop in Pittsburgh hands down! The pineapple upside down cake Sunday is AMAZING! I order from here pretty often and they’ve consistently been one the best places in Pittsburgh for good deserts. I usually order through Uber eats and I love that they package everything so well. Great value, amazing taste, and great customer service. 10/10

Looks very unassuming, but it's some of the best ice cream in town! Be sure to get the waffle cones because they are really good. There's not much space to eat inside, but there are a couple of benches outside if I remember right. Perfect for dessert after eating in one of the many restaurants on Butler!

By far the greatest ice cream spot in Pittsburgh! Wide variety of flavors which include vegan & gf options too. Staff is always happy and helpful! Highly recommend.
