Saratoga National Bank

Called ahead to the Clifton Park branch in need of exchanging US money for Canadian money. They were happy to help me, even though I have a Glens Falls account. Michael (Matthew?) was extremely helpful and greeted me by name when I got there. Super convenient, when my own credit union does not provide this service! No fees involved. Also not a single person came into the lobby while I was there being chatty with the tellers for about 20 minutes on a Wednesday just before lunch. Highly recommend.

The Tellers are always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. They offer person and business checking and savings accounts. It is a great bank.

The Troy district manager stayed late to open a checking account for me! She was Humble and just a frickin sweetheart. My new favorite bank. Thank you 😁

REVISED RATING: I had to lower it from 4 to 3, not because they stopped serving free coffee; everyone that was doing that stopped for the pandemic. I have since learned that they will not take a debit card payment at a branch—you have to use one of those check things! Seems like something that could be changed fairly easily and if it is I'll go back to 4. Go back to giving out coffee and we'll see about a 5!

We don't do business with Saratoga National regularly, I have a car loan from there I don't expect to have outstanding for very long. I was nearby and decided to make a payment directly at the bank. The teller provided fine service and the interior of the bank was pleasant enough. They do offer complimentary Keurig coffee, which is why I give them a 4 instead of a high 3. It's one of the few things a bank can do to really stand out.

Do not get a mortgage thru saratoga national bank OR Glens Falls bank. They are sister banks and they immediately sell your mortgage. So they obviously don't want your business. Maybe they just do it for the closing costs. I didn't even get to make the first payment and now I have planet home lending....not even in NY
