The summer concert series on the third Sunday of the month by the Heywood community band is excellent. The band is awesome and the music is top notch. The series runs from may to October. It is very well attended so get there early. Concert starts 6:30 pm. Bring a chair if you are running late the building fills up fast.

Attended a Masonic picnic Sunday afternoon. We arrived well after everything was underway...we each had a hamburger or hot dog and some chips. There were still desserts left, so we enjoyed those. The facility was nice, but not as easy to find as we were told. We didn't see the big sign or the elk statue that was supposed to be there. The large group of people gave it away! :-) Hubby, who is a Grand Master in PA was able to visit with other state's grand masters at the event so he was very pleased.

We were actually at the park behind the building. It's a great little spot. The only problem I can see with it is a lack of public restroom when the building is closed.
