Great place for a Sunday lunch before leaving town. Unique German-inspired menu with light & heavy & everything in between. We got a couple sandwiches (cucumber, goat cheese, pickled onion on rye…perfect) and some sides. Cocktails were large, unique, and affordable. Outdoor and indoor spaces both are roomy and interesting, with no bad tables. We’ll be back!

What a spectacular find here in Wilmington! Adorable ambiance, laid back, chic, downtown Wilmington. We've been back twice within 2 weeks.

Delicious food, authentic from what I hear. My husband used to travel to Germany and was so excited to find some of his favorite foods like schnitzel, spetze and sausages. The potato pancakes were ok.

We loved their spetze Mac and cheese. I enjoy the peach mojito mocktail. The sausages dog pretzel with saurkraut is incredible. We don't even eat saurkraut but we like it here!

There is so much flavor in all of the foods. Several of the staff are international. Friendly service. Good lunch specials. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!

My friends and I shared the spaetzle and it put every "mac and cheese" I have ever tasted to shame. I visited Germany recently as well, and this one came very close to how it is made and tastes there. We also shared a pretzel and you can't really go wrong with that. We visited here back in February, so I forgot the name of the drink I got, but it was a non-alcoholic orange drink. The drink was okay for the price it was. Overall, I would definitely recommend for anyone from Germany who is feeling homesick or for those who want to taste a bit of food from Germany. Also, the inside is so beautiful, we ended up having a photoshoot.

Went to have a birthday lunch and the bar tender was so helpful. He sat us and took our order. The food was so delicious and drinks were nice. Good service and highly recommend this place.

Great service and wonderful atmosphere. Even the bathroom was pleasant. I got the mushroom soup, pork schnitzel, a flight, and a specialty drink that reminds me of a dreamsicle. The restaurant is a short walk to the water as well as many shops. I'm curious about the rest of the menu, so I'll definitely be back.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I finally had a chance to! The food was sehr lecker (delicious)! We ordered several options on the happy hour menu: Flammkuchen "flame cake" flatbread, Riesenbrezel, and Crispy brussel sprouts. Thought we might need to order more (for 2 people) but ended up being full enough from all of that! We did get a blueberry tart for dessert that was great as well! The beer flight was fun to try and they had a great cocktail and wine list. Our server, I believe her name was Esta, was super nice and the service was very quick. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back

Prost Biergarten in Wilmington, NC, offers a fantastic blend of German cuisine and local charm. We had a delightful experience enjoying the sausage plate and beet salad, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Paired with pints of locally brewed beer, Beach Time, our meal captured the essence of the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity.

The atmosphere at Prost is welcoming and unique, blending traditional beer garden vibes with a modern twist. Owners Kyra Faina and her team have done an excellent job creating a space that feels both cozy and communal. The chef, Erin Wiley, brings a creative flair to the menu, combining German classics with local ingredients and flavors. The beet salad, with its balance of earthy and tangy notes, and the hearty sausage plate are must-tries, thanks to Erin’s culinary skills.

Alex, the bartender, was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience with his recommendations. Prost is definitely a spot worth visiting for anyone looking for great food, a lively atmosphere, and a taste of local Wilmington flair mixed with German tradition.

This is my boyfriend and I’s go to spot for date night. He sticks close to the Jager Schnitzel, however, I like to venture off and try different items off the menu. My favorite - the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Holy crap this thing is amazing. I also tried the Auf Wiedersehen Kaffe cocktail as well and it was the best coffee/alcohol drink I’ve ever had. Reminded me of a more coffee flavored White Russian.

We’ve never had a bad meal here which is important for restaurants. Consistency is key and Prost delivers!

Very nice German Style Biergarten. Very friendly Service and last but not least good food and beers.

Unfortunately it was too Hot for me in the Biergarten or I would have stayed longer...

Got the smashburger, fries, and a beer. I liked everything and would add a little texture/veggies to the burger to take it up a top notch. Staff was very pleasant, and service was fast.

Loved the outdoor atmosphere, the spätzle mac and cheese and they have Red Oak on tap. What’s not to like? So glad downtown has a true German beer garden now. Handholds only for lunch, entrees are available after 5pm. They also have daily specials on food and cocktails. 10/10, would recommend!

Loved the food and service from Mia. We went for a single app but ordered the onion dip, pancake potatoes and the AMAZING firecracker shrimp. Would recommend coming for an aperitif.

I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Prost Biergarten in Wilmington, NC, and I'm eager to share my positive review! My wife and I decided to have lunch there, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of outstanding.

Firstly, the food was simply delicious. We indulged in their Riesenbrezel, which consisted of two generously-sized pretzels served with a delectable house cheese sauce and beer mustard. The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely delightful, and it set the tone for the rest of our meal.

Next up was the Spätzle Mac & Cheese, which featured a blend of Emmental, Swiss, and Butterkäse cheeses. This dish was incredibly creamy and flavorful, with the perfect amount of cheesiness that left us craving more.

We also tried the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, which were elevated by a warm bacon vinaigrette that added a savory depth to the dish. The flavors were harmonious, and the crispy texture of the Brussels sprouts was irresistible.

The Potato Pancakes were another highlight, served with a tangy chive sour cream and house applesauce. The pancakes were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the accompanying sauces complemented them perfectly.

To top it all off, we couldn't resist trying the smash burgers, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a culinary delight, and it was evident that the chefs at Prost Biergarten take great care in crafting their dishes.

Overall, our experience at Prost Biergarten was nothing short of exceptional. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend dining at Prost Biergarten for anyone looking to indulge in delicious German-inspired cuisine in Wilmington.

The bartender on 9/20 is a gem, he gave me the recipe for the most delish mushroom soup! Plus he’s a good photographer! My husband and daughter and I sat at inside bar. When it’s cooler I plan to return again and sit on back patio, looks pretty.
The horseradish smoked trout dip was amazing. The jaeger schnitzel was pretty good, slightly over cooked, but overall we had a lovely lunch.

Fantastic place, the staff was great and beer selection has something for everyone. The pretzels were great. I had the stroganoff others in my party had brats and the schnitzel and report they were very happy. Place was busy so we could not sit in the courtyard but indoor seating was fine. They had tables and bar seating.

Delicious little Americanized German spot in the historic River district. The bratwurst and brussel sprout slaw were both delicious. Husband got a beer flight which he enjoyed as well.

Trendy German restaurant in downtown Wilmington has a great atmosphere; music wasn’t too loud so you could hear eachother talk, place was clean (including bathrooms) and it wasn’t overcrowded. The service was super and the wait time for food on a Saturday evening was very decent. The food was unique and tasted great! They have vegetarian options too that were full of good flavors. The prices were really decent too so you could actually get dinner and a dessert! I would absolutely go here again.

Excellent German restaurant located inside a historic building with a nice sized outdoor space (covered). Food is excellent - we enjoyed the Brussels and Potato Pancake appetizers and the pork schnitzel and beef stroganoff entrees. The beer list is great - local and regional taps and German and Belgian bottles mixed with local and regional cans. Service is great. Absolutely a must go.

A great spot to hangout if the weathers nice and you're wanting a good drink or some food. I got the schnitzel entree and I was impressed! The beer was pretty good as well. Overall a nice little spot.
