Love this gym! Small and very friendly. The salt water pool is so nice because I don’t like how chlorine water makes my skin and hair feel. The classes are great too.

I've been to many of the gyms around the area and I know I will be sticking with Riverwalk. Friendly staff, new equipment, positive environment. They have someone who goes around and cleans frequently and you can tell, everything is immaculate! Highly recommend this gym.

My favorite gym in the area! It may seem small but has everything I need. Weight training, cardio, pool, hot tub and classes that are included with membership. At first I was worried about the gym when it's busy because it's so small. The most people working out at once was maybe 8 people! So it's easy to find a quiet time and space to do workouts comfortably. I love it

Love this facility, very clean and staff professional. Staff is good about showing you how to use the machines. Pool and hot tub clean. I have been a member since 2012 training with Anthony Campo and he is as professional as you can get,He cares about his clients and I also see him working and giving his opinion to any member that ask. I have also had conversations with the other trainers there and they have given me important advice on equipment use, as well as well as proper nutrition .Price is reasonable for the cleanliness and quality service you receive.

It is our first experience with a gym, and we couldn't be happier. The gym is really clean and everyone is very friendly and courteous. We especially like the trainer Anthony Campo. He is very professional and good at what he does. I am a retired nurse, and worked with a physical therapist for 16 years. Anthony knows what he is doing and well informed. I would recommend Anthony and this gym to anyone. We have improved our health and physical ability to a great degree in only 7 weeks.

This is my second year as a member. The club is very well run. It is very clean. I have had hip and back issues since my children were born prompting me to seek a trainer to help. I train with Anthony Campo and have had great success with my back issues and hip. He was able to adapt my training routine to my needs. He is challenging and very knowledgeable. He offers group lessons and private lessons. The groups lessons and very cost effective. I enjoy the group lessons the best. You get to work out with a great group of people. All in all, the gym is amazing and my trainer fits perfectly with my work out needs.

This gym has become the standard by which I judge others. I went here during my last year of college and it was excellent. Great staff, friendly community, clean equipment, and had everything I needed.

If you are looking for a great gym, the Riverwalk is the one for you. I have been a member for almost 5 years and go there 5 days a week. I wouldn't think of changing. The facility is immaculate, Kristina and her staff are great. I take water classes, yoga, zumba and the instructors are the best. I have also worked with a trainer and use the equipment. Do yourself a favor and try the Riverwalk.

The Riverside Athletic Club has a cleanliness that impresses me. I loved the clarity of the water and the freshness of the hot tub. The hot tub felt capacious and one could enjoy a view through the solarium windows outdoors and watch swimmers about their laps. I found everything I needed to clean up well: bright mirrors where I could check my shaving, soap in the showers, a machine to dry my swimsuit and a sauna where I could sweat the gunk out of my pores. Now the sauna peaked at 120 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to sweat and yet not hot enough to match a traditional Finnish sauna. A note asked us to not throw water on the rocks. Throwing water on the rocks makes a sauna a Finnish sauna, to my mind. Maybe if the club invested in an electric heater from Finland that uses real field stones? The membership price for the year matches the initiation price at other clubs, making this club on the Chenango River shore a great value.

If anything, I would like more of a common area for drinking cold drinks and waiting for my work out friends. I guess the lobby of the Doubletree works for that purpose.

I have used other athletic clubs in our area. I started using RAC about 2 years ago primarily because this is where my personal trainer is. RAC's facility is by far the best in the area as far as equipment, classes, lockers, cleanliness and attention to detail. I think the facility was completed renovated after the flood of 2011. The women's locker rooms are very nice and well-maintained. I enjoy using the sauna available in the women's locker room. I have not been in the men's locker room. I would also like to commend the staff - friendly, helpful and available. While I am there, I see a staff person walk around and wipe down all the equipment. We are encouraged to wipe down the equipment after we use it (of course). Wet wipes are provided to members. As far as equipment, RAC has quite the variety. If you would like to use a personal trainer, RAC has several well-qualified available. When I am there, there is probably at least three personal trainers working with clients. I just read the review that discussed Anthony Campo, one of the personal trainers. I have been using Anthony Campo for almost two years now. He is the ultimate professional in my book. Highly qualified in both training and nutrition. He is very patient with all his clients. His clients range in age from very young to over 90. Because of his education and experience in physical therapy, he is very good with working with clients who have physical limitations. I have been very pleased with my strength training progress since I started with him. I would rate him a five star trainer! He builds individual training plan for each of his clients and encourages them to do the best they can (and even better). I started working with him to get stronger for running and cross country skiing. I can definitely see a difference in my arm, shoulder, leg and hip strength.

The salt-water, heated indoor pool is very nice and well-maintained. The group classes are very popular. Overall, I would rate RAC as five star in my book.

RAC offers great amenities for the price. The facilities are clean and modern. The equipment is great. The staff and trainers are excellent and knowledgeable. More specifically, my experience with the trainers is with Anthony Campo. He has helped my body "learn" how to move and perform better. I've had reoccurring shoulder issues that I've seen a number of medical professionals about; all with no solution to fix the underlying problem. Anthony performed an assessment on me, showed me an easy routine to follow, and I have been pain and injury free since then!

The RAC is a great place. A member for more than two years now, I see no reason to look elsewhere. I've been a member of a number of other area fitness centers in Greater Binghamton. RAC is a good value and is the best managed, cleanest, and best maintained. The cardio machines are new and kept clean and maintained. In addition to the large weight room and machines, there's a great variety of ways to stay fit: classes such as kettle bells, cycling and yoga, dedicated personal trainers, a swimming pool, and more. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful across the board. They make it easy and fun to keep coming back.

I love this gym. I tried the week trial and then signed up afterwards because I need to get into shape and this is the best place to do it and then relax in the hot tub after.

Fantastic...love the pool..never more than a 20 minute wait for a lap lane...great people that work here and work out here. Been going here 3 years now...always very clean, too!

For our area, the Riverwalk Athletic Club offers members incomparable opportunities for a fair price. All classes that are offered at the club are no extra cost. I love the yoga classes and have also attended some spin, zumba and kickboxing classes. RAC also has a pool with lap lanes and an area for open swim, which I love for my toddler.
I have taken advantage of the personal trainers at RAC. They have many trainers to choose from and each has a specific style of instruction. I have been working with Anthony Campo since 2013. Anthony works with his clients as a group. At first, I didn't think that I would like training with a group, but it turns out to be much more motivating. Though each person in the group has different goals and is at different places, everyone is very encouraging and supportive. Anthony does a great job keeping track of each person's information and workout plans.
Power Lifting is the main form of exercise that I do with Anthony. As a female, it is very empowering to be able to say that I can deadlift 220 lbs. I am convinced that Anthony's plan has helped me maintain a healthy and strong body during my pregnancy, regain my pre-pregnancy body (if not slimmer), and maintain strong bones. Not only does he give advice about exercise, he also educated me about changes in my eating lifestyle. People may say that you don't need a personal trainer, but he is the only reason I look and feel as good as I do.

The perfect gym. Very little posing or strutting, but great classes, lots of equipment and we thank goodness for the pool and hot tub every winter!
