Monarca Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar

Met a few friends for dinner on a Saturday night, and can’t figure out why it wasn’t slammed. Everything about this place is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, the chips and salsa are fire, and the food is fresh, beautifully plated, and reasonably priced for the portions you get.

Their menu has a great variety of traditional dishes, a taqueria, Tex-Mex favorites, vegetarian options, and delicious margs. Save room for dessert too, because the flan is the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Same for the ceviche. Pro tip: go with a group so you can try different things from the menu!

My daughter and I visit this location when we left the beach on October 21,2023. And it was our first time visiting. Our whole experience was amazing and very pleasant and the staff was really helpful and friendly. I asked the hostess who sat us outside how long they been open she said a year. The food was hot and delicious and the drink was on point I didn’t have to send it back to be strong or buy another shot. First was awesome keep it up. We need great customer service.

For me, the greatest complimentent a restaurant that serves food with a specific regional focus can receive, is people from that local dining in that restaurant. Great to see.
We enjoyed our meals and the Monarch Butterfly theme.
We went back again to try their Molcajete, this is a favorite dish for us. It's large enough to share unless you're super hungry. We'll presented and good blend of flavors. Yes, it did arrive at the table flaming.

Great food and services, margaritas had actual alcohol, not just juice.
I recommend it, we will be back soon.

The food is always fresh and delicious. A very intimate atmosphere and the service have always been nice. Today, I ordered the civeche trio.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! I’ve been 3 times in the last 2 weeks it is so good. Food is delicious. Literally the best birria tacos in town, in my opinion. The sampler appetizer platter was also a great deal and very tasty. Guacamole is fresh with large chunks of avocado and queso is excellent as well. Happy hour (2-5pm) had 2 for 1 house margaritas, which were surprisingly very good, you can tell they use fresh juices and not that awful sour mix. Also loved their spicy margarita so much! Drink menu is very creative and drinks are a work of art. Atmosphere is also lovely and service is always fast. Big fan of Monarca, and will continue to come back.

Loved this place. Must visit. Their spicy salsa is actually very spicy, which we devoured. The flan was the best 👌🏽 so creamy, perfect consistency. The chips were really fresh. Will definitely go back. Looking forward to trying the tres leches cake next time!

This food was sooo yummy! I would recommend to anyone in Daytona. Chips were served warm and mojito was super fresh. Ceviche was very tasty and fresh. It did not taste “fishy.” However, it did feel like there was more onion than fish in it. It was so nice to see that the menu had an entire vegetarian section, and my refried bean burrito was delish (though a bit runny). The Alambre also had incredible flavor. Can’t go wrong with anything here. :) Some of the best Mexican I’ve had.

Went for Cinco de Miyo? Food was good, drinks were good, free shots always good!! Large menu, wide variety of drinks. By far the best Mexican I've had in a long time.

I can definitely tell they put a lot of hard work and passion for what they do the food is amazing great flavor. The service is so good as well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ please try there tequilas if you into it 🤠

Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, and the food was AMAZING!
Went for Taco Tuesday not knowing what to expect (on website, but no details) and we were all surprised and pleased with our options. You can choose chicken, steak, carnitas, pastor, or birri tacos all at $2 each!
This is fresh-Mex or more original than most. Small, handmade tortillas (think street tacos) that are NOT smothered in lettuce and cheese. The chicken was grilled and seasoned perfectly, topped with diced onions and cilantro. TO DIE FOR!
Chips and salsa also served, salsa was unique and delicious.

Highly recommend this spot.

Went for an early dinner we were promptly sat in a booth which was very roomy for 4 adults. The server was very nice polite and attentive. The food was all very fresh large portions and so delicious thebsteak was so tender and flavorful. And the pricing definitely matches the quality and quantity of the food! Definitely visiting again

We've come here about three times. It's been excellent every time. I had to roasted corn quesadilla and a side of beans and it was delicious.

The Sangria was really refreshing.

I had the Caldo de Pollo, a Birria Taco and a Steak Taco.

My wife had the Brochetas and really enjoyed it.

Overall excellent experience and Maria was excellent as well.

Wow! The BEST shrimp and Birria tacos!! Seriously one of the best Mexican restaurants we've ever been too. The handmade tortillas were so fresh and delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. We don't even live in Ormond Beach but will definitely be back. It was empty at lunch on a Saturday... Go support this great, local, family business!!

Plated to the nines! Food is Outstanding!! I have been here several times and never had a bad meal. Just give it a try once and you won’t be sorry. Prices are excellent! The menu has great variety…very large menu. I promise they won’t disappoint! Enjoy 😋

My family and I stopped by here yesterday as we were on our way to Orlando. We were pleasantly surprised with how great the food and service was. I ordered the carnitas Michoacán that was accompanied with rice and beans. The entire meal was excellent. Even the presentation was eye catching. Out waiter was consistent and attentive. Highly recommend.

Recently visited with my family (our party had five toddlers as well!) and was very impressed. The passionfruit margarita was the best I have had! The carne asada was also fantastic along with everything else. I wish we lived closer so we could visit again but if you're looking for fantastic food, drinks and service I would highly recommend.

Definitely glad I stopped here . The service was great , food came fast ,very clean .
