Love this campground! CLEAN and well maintained. Hot Showers with newly replaced shower heads. Awesome water pressure! ❤ The Lost Horizons has wonderfully manicured river sites whereas other parks I've seen have overgrown weeds and you cant even see the water. The Junction (bar/restaurant) is BEAUTIFUL and the entire staff have been nothing but helpful and welcoming. It also feels secure that those stopping by from the river for snacks are limited to staying behind the gated area. That makes me feel secure altho they may not like the lack of access since they aren't registered guests, but it makes ME feel safe. I've stayed here under old and new owners and it just keeps getting better. 🙂

Nice clean campground. We had a large site. Friendly staff!
I also love the fact that they enforce the rules. I love the river but will not stay at a party park where you can't even sleep because of noise.
This is my first time at Lost Horizons and we will definitely be back. I do hope when they get the chance they update their restrooms a little bit. The one I was in just has a little curtain and people coming in and out moving the curtain there's really not any privacy. I hope to someday see bathroom stalls. However that would certainly not stop me from going back. The maintenance guy cutting grass even helped my husband move the picnic table so I didn't have to. The garbage pick up at your site is amazing. I also like that campers are asked to wear a wristband so they can tell who their paying guests are. However I put mine on to loose and kept losing it over the 4 days I was there LOL I somehow managed to find it every time. The Junction is very nice.

Stayed here while visiting Mohican for the Mohican bluegrass festival with a friend. Best camp ground ive been to in a while! We got primitive tent camping and it was the most beautiful, peaceful site I've had in a long time. Right on the river! Saw two beautiful bald eagles fly down the river in the early mornings while in front of the fire with my coffee.. can't beat that! Clean showers and bathrooms, a bar even.. kids playground and fire wood that's delivered to your site!! How can it get any better? Thank you to all the staff for making our trip amazing. You guys are great. And for $35 a night, on the weekend? Wow! Thank you 💛

This campground is well maintained, and staffed by friendly helpful employees. We stayed in the primitive camp area and had the most relaxing and peaceful time. As primitive campers, we rely on the use of the campground showers and restrooms and everything was clean. The friendly staff members pick up your trash curbside and they also deliver firewood if needed. We travel with dogs and it was nice to see they were welcome here.

One of my favorite campgrounds, and we are big campers! Love the river view sites, beautiful scenery, and the camp store/restaurant is so convenient and very nice. The food, bar, and ice cream is really good. We have come here 2 years in a row and plan to come back every year!

I can not say enough about Lost Horizons. The place is fabulous, staff is fantastic, friendly and welcoming. We got there in a down pour planning on using our tent but it was to bad out to set it up. We ask about a cabin and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. What a great vacation we had. Thank you

My family and I stayed in our camper the weekend of April 26th 2024. Site 58 was beautiful, flat, and well maintained. We got to explore a bit of the woods, river, and most certainly played on the playground with our toddler. The play area was safe and pest free. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will reserve The Lost Horizons again in the near future. Staff, thank you for making sure we felt comfortable and welcome.

We are new camper owners and stayed this week, what a great experience! We had a great spot by the river, plenty of shade with the trees. Staff is super friendly, even came by to see if we needed anything. It was nice and quiet, very relaxing. We will definitely be back again.

This is a family oriented campground. We book every holiday and then some. They always have some kind of activities happening. Everyone is friendly and they treat u like family. Would recommend.

Angie, who runs the place, is the greatest. Super friendly, super helpful, super cool. My friend and I wanted to explore a nearby private campground, and Angie went out of her way to contact the owner to get us permission to head up there. The lots are well maintained (how do you get the grass so thick when there are RVs constantly parked on it??) and the new "Junction" center is beautiful.

Even though we were in the sun and only one night it was a nice place to camp at. The people are nice there. We had a great time.

Got a spot by the river and the staff was GREAT. The restaurant/bar is nice and accessible from the river side. We will definitely try to come back if they're not booked up all summer. We really enjoy the covered bridge as well

Absolutely a wonderful experience with a breathtaking view of the Mohican river. They delivered wood to our campsite and they had everything you need right there we didn't check out the junction building which has bar drinks and food looked beautiful btw and the owner was absolutely amazing she even brought us aluminum foil after closing for the night will definitely be going back only complaint was the bathrooms stalls needed doors instead of curtains in your face!

First time staying in Bears Den Cabin at The Lost Horizon Family Campground. What a beautiful place . The covered bridge night lights are awesome. Watching the snow fall around the Junction was gorgeous. The cabin was clean, well arranged and furnished . Really a great place for a getaway with family and friends. The Eagles Nest Cabin was just as nice. We were very pleased with the cabins. Hope others will give it a try.

We had a great time on river site 30! The staff members were all friendly and helpful. It is apparent the new owners are making many upgrades. It would be nice to see more added to the playground and another dump station added. The bridge detour was inconvenient, but that is of no fault of the campground. One word of advice for future campers, be sure to have a couple spare water hoses. It appeared most sites would require 50ft, some maybe a little more.

We have been coming to the campground for years. We love camping on the river. This past weekend was a spontaneous trip for my husband and I, we stayed in the cabin this time. Very clean cabin with most necessities. We love the Junction and the atmosphere, the staff is awesome.

Very, Very nice campground. Love the fact you can bring your own golf cart and ATV. Just obey the 5mph speed limit at all times and you're good. Clean, well taken care of property right along the river. Friendly staff and nice accommodations. Will definitely stay there again!
