First time in the store today, and now my go to when I forget something or bringing family to the beach.
Bright and spacious, friendly staff, easy to find items, good prices and great clearance and sales.
Will definitely be back!!

I will be back! Great visit to, hands down, the best "beach shop" in the Topsail Beach area! Great, quality items, from graphic T-shirts to high end items at amazing prices. Also, the manager is exceptional, always available, and willing to help the customers find the best deals to fit their wants and needs! Like I said, I will be back!!!

On our way to our Airnb. We needed a few things. We were greeted at the door with a smile. Mikayla helped us find everything quickly, stayed with us. One thing you don’t see much anymore is an authentic smile and someone helping from the heart. We had a small issue, she quickly helped us and called the manager to fix it. The service made a world of a difference

This is the shop to go to in Sneeds Ferry! Outstanding vibe and great merch/different and better quality. Friendly help and no pushing to make purchase, all the way to manager. Go see the fake shark with your kids then shop here 🤙🏼

Loved this place!! Found something for everyone on my list in one store!! And because I spent X amount I got a bag to remember my trip to north Carolina also!!! Ok I may have gone back a few times to get a few bags! BUT I am telling you it is worth going to! Way more than the other stores across the street. The staff was so friendly and easy to talk with. Loved the organization of this store also. I didn't have to search for plus size it was posted. And the kids clothes were adorable!! Will definitely be visiting them again when we come back! OH and the best part is if you don't see the design you want or size..... THEY MAKE THEM IN 30 SECONDS on a size and color of your choosing!! Tons to pick from!!

Oh my gosh! Love, love, love this store! We went after the shark attack store where it was messy and crowded, we left because we couldn't find what we needed. We went to the big whale after and what can I say. It was clean, and the staff were super nice! We got a sweatshirt and got to customize it, the design options were endless! They even let us print it on our selfs! An all around fun trip! Will definitely come back! Amazing Quality! 5 times better than the Shark attack store.

I went in looking for sunglasses, I was pleasantly surprised how much inventory was in the store, yet it was so very organized and I felt like I could move freely. I did find the perfect sunglasses as well with the help of Kat, she made my visit so much better! Thank you for helping me find exactly what I needed!

Melissa was wonderful and the entire store is a wonderful vibe. I found the trunks i wanted and a great shirt to go with it. The store has an amazing selection and it’s vast with all of the options.

Stopped in here because I needed a swim suit and did not expect to have such a good experience! The store is beautiful and spacious, very clean, and there is so much variety. You can literally find anything beach related and more. Cat and Zach were able to help me find exactly what I needed and even some goodies for my daughters to take home. We will definitely be back next time we are here and recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

I've been in this store over the years with kids and
family just passing through. This past week we went
in and my experience was different then in the past...It was awesome they must have changed owners..was greeted by friendly staff felt very welcomed. It is super clean and easier to shop compared to the past very organized someone definitely taking pride in their work! Not to mention they have the best prices in Sneads Ferry!! I will be spreading the word to friends and family to stop and check store out as well thank you guys for the pleasurable experience we will be
coming back for sure!!

Definitely the best prices I have seen in Sneads Ferry!! Kat was amazing!!! The store was so neat and clean and much easier to shop compared to what it has been. They clearly take pride in the store and it actually looks like it’s open now with a fresh new feel about it . How refreshing it is to be greeted with a simple “ hi how you doing today” !!! Ok so I typically don't write reviews but I must send out a special Thank You to Kat and her staff over at The Big Whale. They were super friendly and helped me pick out items for my family. Their prices were great and with everything seeming to go up in prices I really like that. As an owner of a cleaning business my eyes always notice the little things in this aspect and I was in awe with the cleanliness of this store!!! Again Thank you Kat for all your assistance and please thank your staff for thier warm welcome as we walked in with my large family.

This was by far the best experience I have had in a surf store the owners were very nice and made me and my daughter really feel at home this will be my surf shop every time I go to Topsail beach. Such a wonderful staff

If you are looking for somewhere to shop for your visit to the ocean this is where you need to go. Best staff hands down! Quality clothing at reasonable cost. Lots of sales to make the wife happy too.

This store was amazing! The whole store was so organized and the manager was awesome! She knew where everything that I wanted was and was such a big help!
