Buttercup is a kindness movement disguised as a clothing boutique. Cristi (the owner) is the sweetest, most loving, kind, compassionate woman who has never met a stranger and welcomes everyone into her store with the same warmth that just makes you feel seen and known. Her shop is full of a variety of styles and sizes providing a very inclusive shopping environment. She sells things from local artisans and impressive women owned companies. Whether you’re looking for a great work outfit, a comfort piece, some fun Knick knacks, gifts for the tiniest humans in your life, a new purse, etc, you can find it at the Buttercup. There are even products for the men in your life.

Cristi has cultivated an environment where the shopper is cared about as a person, there’s never any pressure to buy, and you are given honest feedback on the things you’re trying on (if you want it). I just love hearing her “hello sweet friend” from across the store. Every trip through Woodstock should include a trip to Buttercup!

Such a cute little boutique with a great selection of women's clothes(including super cute plus size options), accessories, gifts, and kids. Very nice owners as well! Definitely worth checking out!

The Buttercup is such an asset to Woodstock! From the charming location surrounded by yummy cafes, to the fun selection of clothing & accessories, to the amazing customer service. Cristi and her family go above and beyond to establish a relationship with each customer. When you visit the buttercup you feel as though you are visiting a dear friend. Add this to your list of stops if you are visiting the Shenandoah Valley!

Loved their location in New Market. This place is just a great and well stocked. Lots of idea for gifts. Staff is very friendly and helpful, too.
