This place was great! These Gentleman got me in to inspect my GMC Yukon on a cold rainy morning with no appointment… They were polite and friendly to both me and my young son, we were new to the area yet they treated us like we’ve been coming there for years- had a great conversation while they worked. Seems its harder and harder to find small town garages like this place and I look forward to bringing my vehicles here for their basic and regular services from now on. 12/22/2022

I've gone there for many many years for inspection. Never once have I heard the guys talk about derogatory comments about anyone's race. Hell every time I've been there the guy's are always joking and laughing about something silly they have done in their life time. Actually the owner unfortunately knows some of mine 😂😂😂 and we have a good time talking sh.... So if you have a problem with these folks it's probably cuz you have a chip on your shoulder before you get there.

Had a great experience with these guys tonight! They helped identify what was wrong with my car and put oil into it to get me on my way. They also spent a good amount of time troubleshooting a service light on my car with me! Super friendly and helpful, would recommend!

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to take the time for this one.

We had a HORRIBLE inspection experience at Firestone, and it was recommended by a friend that we take our cars to Mike. Not only did he walk my husband through the entire inspection (and fix for $56 what they said would be $1000+), he stayed late until our mechanic could get the part on and I could get back to put the sticker on two days later.

Everyone needs an honest mechanic: I've now found two.

I've been taking my vehicles here for years. I've never had any problems. Highly recommended to all my friends. You people writing bad reviews about racisim are basically idiots. I don't understand your thinking. There's a diverse group working there. My wife and daughters take vehicles there and they've always been respectful around ladies.

Thanks to these guys here at the shell service station! Got us back on the road quickly after our emergency with our trailer tires. Would recommend them to anyone. Super fast service and all around nice people.

I don't know what the persons issue is that said these were racist people. I've done business with these guys for years and they're great. If you want honest people taking care of you this is the place to go. They would never tell you that you needed anything that you didn't really need. My family and I use them exclusively and I would recommend them to anyone !!!

I always get my car inspected here!! Love the the bright and smiling gentleman that work there!! I have been going here for the last years!! The staff is wonderful!!

Mike is an HONEST mechanic who is willing to help the blue collar person who doesn't have a ton of money!! He has always taken excellent care of me and my family and I will continue to go there for years to come!

I will be forever grateful to the kind and caring staff at Thornburg Shell. My parents were in a wreck on 95 last weekend and the police took them to Thornburg Shell where their car had been towed. The staff went above and beyond for them. Thank you.

Took my car here for a re-inspection after previous re-inspection I was quoted many crazy things I brought it here where these people were extremely friendly took care of what was actually wrong for a extremely Beyond reasonable price best place I've ever taken my vehicle

This is one of the few gas stations to have a real on-site mechanic. He’s a real gem who went out of his way to rescue a guy locked out of his car. Kudos!

Fantastic gas station, bathroom and facilities are all very clean, has an attached auto shop.

Very convenient, right of I95. Great for a quick restroom break.
