Food Lion

Local, friendly and very helpful staff. This Food Lion is convenient to many neighborhoods along Shore Drive, and it has a good variety of items. The store itself is sparkling clean. It is a true full-service supermarket. The Shore Drive neighborhoods in Virginia Beach are lucky to have such a well run place so close by.

This is a great local grocery store with friendly staff members and a nice selection of items. It is my go to place for grocery shopping as it is convenient for me in location, hours, and just a overall wonderful place to shop. Thank you everyone at Food Lion for making it a great shopping environment! They also have seasonal plants outside which is wonderfully convenient for any shoppers with a green thumb.

Great selections in every area. I really like their pastries, dairy and drinks. Great location and good parking.

Omg they have a huge selection of beer and wine!!! I think they have huge beach toy options as well! The food selection and veggie aisle is extensive! Very nice grocery store. Will come here again next time

Excellent selection of store brand and name brand items in ice cream and frozen food. I highly recommend Food Lion's frozen white pizza with spinach and garlic. It is very tasty and a quick cook in the oven (12 min).

Food Lion is usually a pleasant experience.
I especially appreciate being able to park close to the entrance most of the time, and their stores are not too big so they are very easy to navigate, and I can still get everything I need. Also, most employees are very nice, with few exceptions. Today's location was very well staffed. Available cashiers were at the entrance to their checkout lanes asking customers if they were ready to check out! I had a very nice young cashier. At the end of ringing things up, I realized I didn't have my wallet. No problem, he said. It happens. He was more than happy to hold my items and the register transaction for me to go get the wallet and return.
as I mentioned before food Lion is an entirely different experience from years ago. This international grocery holding company is doing something right. Much of that must have to do with management training. When you have good leadership it shows in the attitude and productivity of the rank-and-file. Kudos to this behemoth of a corporation that still maintains small town values, and stocks produce and other locally-sourced items from the communities they're in.

this is perhaps the most useful Food Lion that I've been to and I've used most of them. I'm not sure why maybe it's used alot by tourists but it has items most Food lions don't carry good things. the produce is always fresh and the staff works hard to ensure items are stocked. sometimes you can get good deals here sometimes. if your military you'll notice much higher prices than the commissary but overall they're competitive and convenient so if you live here or just here for the beach enjoy one of the better Food Lions.

It's near my house, with a great selection of wine, beers, and other alcoholic beverages. The staff is friendly.

Excellent customer service and everything is well stocked all the time. I do wish there was more enforcement of the “no beach parking”. Beach goers regularly fill the lot taking up parking spaces from actual shoppers even though there are signs everywhere.

Whenever we come to Virginia beach we go straight to this Food Lion store. It has never disappointed us. As soon as you walk in it is bright, clean, fully stocked and inviting. All the vegetables and fruit are fresh. We don't usually need much, but we walk every aisle "just in case" 😁. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Wish the executives at Food Lion could do seminars on how to run a successful store where we live. Thank you Food Lion.

Pretty convenient place to shop. Has most of the items I need and you can't go wrong with their discounts which change every Wednesday. Staff are also quite friendly and do their jobs well.

I would like to commend the staff at Food Lion for their commitment to customers. During the pandemic, I started shopping there because the store was less crowded, followed all protocols and stocked well with necessities. Several times I had specific needs and the manager assisted me, going above and beyond what was expected. It is now my store. Shore Drive (First Landing)

Went to one on Shore drive and Great Neck since down that way.Nice updated store but needs paper bags.🤨

The cashiers and the managers are always super helpful at this Food Lion. The store is clean and unlike many other grocery stores they always seem to be conscious of building lines and quickly respond to demand.

I really like their rotisserie chicken and their small little buffet line has saved me coming home late for dinner often: chicken wings, cheese sticks, and chicken tenders....my 9 year olds favorites.

Clean fast and helpful staff

I love this store. It plays the best music and has for years. I love that they are finally redoing it and it feels bigger! I wish they had a salad bar though. The meat department is gorgeous now. Plus the wine selection- TopNotch. Ps- you guys need capers!

Yes great store that I've been shopping Food Lion for years almost twice aweek! Today reconfirmed that I love the people that makes the store! I misplaced my phone and through the efforts of Josh at the service desk and the young
man that found the phone I want to say thanks! There was another young man that worked there that was in the area that let use me his phone to call my wife! In about two hours Josh called my wife at home and said they had my phone! You made my day!
