Food Lion

05JAN22 ~ The employees I encountered on this trip were pleasant, helpful, and efficient in hand and motion. The prices were good and the specials/sales were especially good. The store was clean and the groceries were well stocked, fronted, and neat. A very good Food Lion shopping day. Thank you!

One Year Earlier...

It is normally about people. I will remember more about the people I encountered much longer than I will remember what I purchased or how much I paid. They had a '5' going until checkout. The woman cashier next to our line was really ugly, mean, contemptuous, unhelpful, and unprofessional. There was no divider for the food items for our line and the line next to us had two. I asked the other cashier if we could use one of her dividers. With a hateful look on her face, daggers coming from her eyes, & seething venom in her voice she said, "No, I need it for my line." She was a short, slim black female with short hair. She was a very poor Food Lion representative.

The store is always clean, well stocked, and great sales. The staff is usually friendly (we all have bad days !). I love the ease of shopping here . UPDATE: Nothing has changed since my first review except Food Lion now has 4 self check out registers. Personally, I prefer self check out, so it was a great improvement, in my opinion. There is always a staff member assigned to self check out to help us when we mess up too! Great management and reasonable prices....wtg Food Lion on Holland Road!

Each year, I purchase turkeys for my church from Luz Hayes. Her customer service is top-notch! She‘s professional and such a joy to work with!

Samuel Elliott and his employees were very helpful and provided excellent service when I forgot to put my MVP card in using the self checkout line and paid without using it as the store was closing. I requested to refund my purchase and ring it back up to recoup the MVP savings, but they had already closed all of the registers. The manager signed my receipt and said they would credit the mvp savings via a coupon on my next visit. Thank you!

Great shopping experience. Store is bright, clean, and organized. You can find what you're looking for quickly. The staff are always friendly and I've never really experienced a long wait at the check out line. Be sure to get the MVP card because there's always something on sale. Prices are reasonable and you get good quality products.

Just wanted to say thanks for being awesome both today and the other day for cashing my $250 winning lottery ticket! I had gone to a few other lottery retailers that were unable to cash it due to insufficient funds. Kroger likely could have done it, but I did not want to wait in a line there! The line was six people deep, with nobody at the Customer Service desk!

At Food Lion though, one clerk and the Manager on Duty each had a long line of people, but in between every other customer she'd ring up, the MoD processed my lottery claim one more step along the way, until I walked out with my winnings! My family and I have been shopping at this location since 1986 and have rarely ever had a poor experience with any employee! Thank you for all y'all do!

Grocery stores always clean. People are nice. Cashiers are friendly. Everybody in the stores very helpful. Been going to this food line for over 20 years

Food Lion was perfect, always stocked, cashier very nice, prices are higher, but so is everything else 😋

The staff is always courteous. When I have needed help finding things, if it’s not out in the store, they have even gone in the back to look for it without being asked. They always asked how I am doing and if I need anything. I have a grocery store closer, but prefer this store for the customer service and prices.

The store staff are very nice. Especially Aric, he always greets me and always ask how my day is <3. His brightens up my day from being a cog in the machine of this capitalist system we call society. He definitely deserves a raise. His worth is immeasurable, such a dedicated young man. If he doesn’t get a raise I am never shopping here again. He’s a blessing on this on this capitalist system. Faint wait for Marxism 🇨🇳

Very clean and organized. Some stock was low but mostly on vendor stocked items. Good prices. It was a quick stop so not much else to say.

Expect for the meat s they need to improve it the night mgr about giving little more information what I experience. Late I been get some bad meat that had foul smell in the hamburger meat.

Your typical neighborhood Food Lion. Clean store, friendly staff, and well stocked. Best prices for hard seltzers (White Claw, Truly, etc.) out of all the grocery stores.

Absolutely love the store . 90 percent of the employees are very attentive and personable . Thankfully you have Tina that makes up for the other 10 percentage. She's fantastic . She deserves a raise..

I go to this Food Lion probably twice a week! The store is always clean, product always in stock. Customer service is great and they always have extra registers open to get you in and out fast!

Food lion has some really good prices and pretty large variety of groceries etc. I like their hamburger meat pricing and their milk and other food lion brand items are comparable to name brands in taste, but much less expensive. The employees are always friendly and helpful and I really like their rewards program. 👍
