Wanted to buy 4 cartons of cigarettes. The woman wouldn't except my credit card. She demanded I pay cash?? Gee she wanted cash only. Wondering where the cash would end up. Went down the block. They had no problem taking my card. Won't go back.

Absolutely the worst customer service in the area. I recently stood in front of the cash register for close to 10 minutes while one employee was in the back doing whatever and the other (who looked at me three times) continued working with a delivery person who had also acknowledged I was there by returning a friendly nod I had made in his direction. Normally I would have walked out after a couple minutes of waiting but I just wanted to see how long it was going to take for these folks to pay attention to the fact that they had a customer waiting. They simply don''t seem to care about the one thing that keeps any business afloat and that one thing is the CUSTOMER. You get the feeling that you're annoying them by being in there trying to purchase something.

After my long wait I then asked if anyone was working the register. The person came out of the back after being called for by the other employee and she started to ring up my items. She stood there impatiently tapping the counter in a way that indicated she wanted me to hurry up as I was taking the money out of my wallet. She even had the audacity to short change me by a few pennies and when I asked about it she said, "you put it in your other hand." I did have change in that other hand but it was from my pocket in case I needed some coins to add to the dollar amount of my purchase. I didn't have enough so I was just standing there holding it while she placed the incorrect total change in my other hand.

After a few seconds of listening to her rude tone I just said forget it. She had basically accused me of trying to cheat her out of a whopping three pennies so I just shrugged my shoulders and walked out. As I was leaving she said in a smug, condescending and demeaning manner, "have a nice day."

That was beyond totally unprofessional in my estimation and it was yet another example of how they don't care about the customers. I firmly believe that neither one of the FasMart employees I dealt with during this encounter should be employed in a job that requires them to deal with the public. They don't seem to possess the social and professional skills necessary to ensure that someone would want to turn to their store.

The bottom line is that she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and appeared to be anxious to return to whatever she was doing in the back. Three pennies isn't anything but it's the whole idea of the thing that bothers me as her impertinence was intolerable in trying to cover up the fact that she had made a mistake because she was in too big a hurry to count out the proper amount.

I'll never set foot in this place again and this store has seriously gone downhill in the 20 years I've been living in the area. I'd recommend to all that you pass by this place and drive the little extra it takes to get to another convenience store/gas station.
