Gabby was incredibly helpful. Even though I was just trying to find that perfect fit and not intending to purchase that day she went above and beyond as if I was there to purchase a million dollars worth of shoes. She is very informed and knowledgeable on so many different types of shoes and educated me on other issues I needed to know about my own feet. She is a tremendous asset to this business and I cannot recommend enough for anyone looking to purchase running shoes to go see Gabby at Lucky Road Run Shop. You will be glad and confident you did!

Everytime that I’ve been into this store, I’ve have a great experience. The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. They have always suggested us great shoes for my husband and I. Based on our foot structure, injuries, if we’re standing all day vs running.
I ordered a pair of shoes last weekend and went to pick them up yesterday. My mom just came into town and I brought her in with me. My mom is handicapped and has a really hard time putting her shoes on. April is the sweetest woman! She listed to my moms needs with what she needed with a shoe. Everything she recommended for my mom she loved. She even helped her put on every pair of shoes and laced them up for her and took them off until my mom found the perfect pair. She went above and beyond and I really appreciate how caring of a person April is.

In training for the Richmond Half, I’ve had concerns with a persistent blister on my left medial heel but only after 5-6 miles or longer. I discussed with Rachel what I’ve been doing to try to prevent worsening of what was already there. She recommended sticking with the same shoe model but upgrading to their stability version. I’m happy to report that after our 12 miler yesterday in those new shoes, but keeping the rest of my routine normal, I did not notice the blister in any fashion. I know the true test will be in 2 weeks on race day, but this is why I continue to recommend Lucky Road over franchise stores as every visit - at either location I’ve been to - I’ve felt listened to and my concerns recognized & addressed.

The whole staff were warm and inviting, happy to engage without being pushy, and made me feel comfortable shopping. The store is passionate about their work and the people they serve. I have been going to Lucky Road since I began half marathons in 2017. They fit me with my first pair of shoes back then, and will continue to be my "go to" store for running shoes. Chris, and the staff, are very knowledgeable and listen to the issues you may be having. Feet change over time and I have always come out with a good pair of shoes, or two.

Unmatched customer service. Can tell that the employees care about the customer and their performance. They give great deals out to school runners. Really encouraging the young to continue to run and provide equipment for those who may not be able to afford it

Ended up buying more than I went in for ... but was not pressured in any way. The employee was very patient & helpful, and he was very informed regarding local running events. I assume they have a lot of purchases for high school athletes because he was equally aware regarding high school meets and schedules.

The staff is patient, kind, caring and knowledgeable. They know feet. They have an excellent assortment of inserts. And are very knowledgeable about which ones will work for your particular feet. Excellent customer service!

Every time I have purchased a pair of running shoes here I got the best service. I dropped in last week after seeing my foot doctor for a nagging ache in one of my feet...I was overloading the later column of my foot and needed a shoe that was going to give me more support than my current shoes. Being a neutral runner I wasn't sure exactly what that meant so I made my way down to Fredericksburg and was helped by Chris. I have worked with him before and he is always so patient and listens to my concerns. I have been running in New Balance for the last couple of years and didn't really have any complaints. I loved the shoes but, my foot was feeling something else! He brought out a couple of pairs for me to try..one of them was the Brooks Ghost. They were a huge difference than my NB 1080 shoes but I knew I needed it. I asked him a million questions, we joked and had good conversation. I ended up purchasing the Ghost shoes and have taken them on a few runs so far and my foot feels great. i was concerned about going from an 8mm toe drop to a 12mm but he assured me this shouldn't be a problem, and it hasn't. In all the years I have been running I've never been a Brooks girl...but I thing the tides are turning! Thank you Chris and Lucky Road. ~ Anastasia C

Had my first visit to Luck Road Run Shop and was so impressed! The customer service here is outstanding. I've been to other running shoe stores and always feel a bit like they're pushing me toward a particular shoe and feel kind of rushed, but not here. The employees were friendly and were so knowledgeable. I had been struggling with foot pain for months and they knew exactly what kinds of shoes would be able to help. They were not pushy in any way and encouraged me to take my time trying on different pairs and helped me weigh the different options and features. It was such a positive experience and I will definitely be back!

Staff is super patient and knowledgeable. After a few tries, we found a shoe that worked perfectly for me. They didn't have it in stock, so they orered it online and I picked it up a few days later.
I will not be going anywhere else for running shoes.

Good selections of running shoes. They also have have clothing for different sports. Friendly staff and convenient location behind Krispy Kream Donuts in Central Park located in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg Virginia.

3rd shoe purchase at Lucky Road in F’burg, 1st purchase at the new location. Called ahead to verify they had my size in the new Gel Nimbus 25 they had posted on FB. Chris was awesome both over the phone and in person. We immediately gelled (pun intended) over shoes as I was somewhat of a running shoe guru working for Herman’s and Modell’s many years ago. He supplied great info and was thankful for my feedback on how this completely overhauled model shoe stacked up against its competition. Chris was assisting multiple customers at the same time, addressing all of us by first name and being top-notch on product knowledge as it applied to our specific needs and his approach to customer service. I don’t live or have any other business in the F’burg area but I still enjoy driving from southern Maryland to support an independently owned business that would serve as a great model for others to follow. If you need running shoes go to Lucky Road you will be treated like a valued customer and walk out with the exact shoe that you need.

This is the store you want to be at.
The customer service provided is FAR better than other athletic stores in the area. The layout is orderly and extremely easy to find what you are looking for.

The two women who helped me out were kind and knowledgeable about shoes. Even better, they have a super generous rewards program that is free to sign up for.

The end state is that this is the only place I'm willing to shop for athletic/running wear. Simple as that. 10/10 recommend. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

I went in before close, and I picked out a nice pair. However, I soon realized they weren't the right fit. I followed up the next day and Chris hooked me up. He ensured I left with a pair that was truly what I needed. Recovering from a bunionectomy, I needed the right shoe to put the right foot forward.

After buying a pair of brooks ghosts 13s in 2021 I’d have to say these guy recommending that changed the game for me! I never invested in proper running shoes like that before and they made sure the shoe I got was the best one specifically for me after about 40 minutes of testing shoes. This store is awesome and I’d highly recommend going there these guys will make sure you leave the store with a great setup!
