Wagshal's Grand Bodega

BBQ was pretty tasty, I had the smoked wings and beef burnt ends that came with a really good slaw and monster size curly fries..

This is an upscale bodega with really good quality meats, produce, cheese, and wine. They also have both a sandwich counter and BBQ. They are open at 10am and have coffee and good breakfast sandwiches. There is also plenty of parking, so it's a great place for a good run/bike followed by very good food.

I'm so glad I stopped by here to try out a Deli sandwich. They are generous with the meat portions and tasted so fresh. I got to a try a sample of their hotdogs and was so impressed I bought a four pack for myself. The patio was really nice too because they've set up fans that spray mist to help cool down the area. I was told they will be having an bar set up soon as well for the patio area. It's going to be a busy place very soon, I already know it.

Now open! A local institution with the best fresh sandwiches, lovely staff, easy parking. Right off MacArthur and the Capital Crescent Trail. Looks like pit BBQ and draft beer on the patio are coming soon. Hoping people come support this local business.

Great place to lunch or buy for ingredients for Deli sandwiches (of course you can buy sausages or nice steaks). S bit on the expensive side but quality is there!

Fun new BBQ spot with outdoor dining area. Our family of four ate here. Kids loved the hot dog, parents had the pulled chicken and Carolina pulled pork. Great having this option in the neighborhood.

Highly recommend supporting this local business. Personable, engaging staff as well. Good outdoor seating area with tv’s and a bar if you want to come watch sports as well.

Just had dinner at the grand opening. Had the Carolina Chopped Pork sandwich with the Texas Sidewinder fries and both slaws…and an ice cold draft beer. Absolutely superb! Tastiest meal I’ve had in Bethesda in a number of years. I will be going back again and again! Shout out to Matthew! Thanks for the hospitality!

Awesome food with incredible service. We stopped in on the way home from somewhere and will be making the 40 minute drive to come back.
