This is my favorite place to buy winter gear especially their Activ8 brand when my kid was younger and smaller. Their tent sales are great.

One of two locations with the other downtown. Not a half bad Alaskan outfitter with a decent selection of name brand boots, jackets, shorts, shirts and really anything else any one might need before going out and braving the elements of the last frontier.

Both big rays in fairbanks are worth a visit,I've purchased quality work wear,hunting gear,and fishing supplies from them since moving to fairbanks. The employees have been helpful with fishing advise and areas to visit.great store.

The place is a small, but quite excellently packed store with high quality clothing. Not so much gear, but if you want to be warm with either personal or work gear? Great prices.
Almost immediately the staff offered help and were attentive to the customers.
I picked up a good winter jacket and some wool socks without breaking the bank. Parking space is a little tight, so plan ahead and be careful.

Awesome people! I am new to Alaska and will be working in the bush. Elijah and his team were extremely helpful in explaining high quality clothing for keeping warm and how to check for the perfect fit. Unfortunately, my size/ style was not in stock but I feel comfortable buying what I want online from Big Rays. Thank you to the amazing staff for helping ease my confusion about products. (And I got an awesome Carhart hoodie on clearance for $38).

Went into the smaller store off of Airport Way. The female staff member was extremely helpful and every time I thanked her she said " Of course! " very cheerfully. Great items and amazing staff.

Big Rays is one of the best places to get you and your kids set up for winter in Fairbanks. Coats, boots, gloves, they have it all. They also have rain jackets, pants, and the like for summer.
