Let me start off by saying the atmosphere is great!! With that being said if you thought they were great when they first opened I HIGHLY recommend you go back and check out all the new products. I am OBSESSED With the watermelon sea moss juice the owner makes it’s so fresh and for anyone who likes juicing it’s top tier another great product I love is the lovey lip balm! If you haven’t bought one or seen them it’s because the little girl who makes them sells out fast! Y’all should definitely pop your head in on a Saturday she’s usually the one you see working the counter and you can also follow her journey on Instagram for her restocks throw out the Burt’s bees and try her all organic balms she makes them herself! You go district!

Great vibes, very relaxing and inviting store. If you could mix a nice Blues or Jazz place with grocery shopping you would have District Market. The only tip I would give it the incense permeate certain materials. So I wouldn't purchase flour ,or cornmeal from there bc the food you make will surely taste like incense. That goes for any place with fragrances near food items. I've had that experience with a different store and was very disappointed. My items carried incense scent , although the fragrance was nice I hoped my food didn't taste like it , thankfully it didn't. I recommend this place, please spread the word and support black owned.

I live near the market and for a while I would pass by and not stop in. I finally went on this past Friday and ended up going in three times for the juices. I went back on Saturday two more times for the juices. I am absolutely hooked! The juices are amazing! I feel so good! This place will be my go to from now on! Thank you so much for providing healthy choices for our community!

Had a great experience here; the owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend trying the products that they make by hand as I have very sensitive skin and have a hard time finding even "natural" products that won't immediately cause me to flare. Their products are great and moisturizing

This was my first visit to the store and I was impressed. The service was great and so was the atmosphere with the soft music playing in the background. I bought a few things the prices seemed reasonable. The store and bathroom was very clean as well. And I loved all the natural health and cleaning products. However, I would suggest that they make sure to get prices on all of their products. Nonetheless, I will be shopping here frequently. #LoveBlackOwned

The perfect niche market for local food stuffs and other Black-owned products. Shopping here allows us to have amazing produce for minimal cost and we can get to know the farmers and meat providers. We're looking forward to a date at the juice bar in the near future.

I’ll start by saying upon walking into District Market Green Grocer, you will invited by a warm welcome, and aromatherapy essence ; which makes for a calming shopping experience. This Houston gem has a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, poultry, seasonings/spices, vegan meals, household cleaning items, sea moss , grass feed beef such as brisket & oxtail, and even fedora hats, earrings, & purses! It’s not only a grocery store, it’s a market for the people by the people. You won’t get this quality at your chain grocery stores . They even have a juice bar! Do yourselves a favor and stop by when you get a chance. You’ll love it here! I’m sure your time here will be as pleasant as mine!

Wonderful place!! My daughters and I enjoyed the green house punch smoothie, so refreshing and I gained alot of healthful benefits! We will be back, much needed place for the culture and community

Very refreshing to be able to walk into a market with such variety to offer its customers. I will make this a market I can shop for fresh veggies, smoothie bar, fresh spices, healthy options such as vegan chicken brest, vegan crab cakes, vegan cheesesticks and much more.
